The moon hung high. It oversaw everything, and maybe in its own maniacal way, it looked after them.
The dome was beautiful. Mesmerizing even. It covered everything, leaving no place for Koro to hide. And had it not been for the fact that it was a beautified golden cage, the teacher would have probably found it endearing— amusing even.
After all, it wasn't the government's first attempt on his life. He was used to it. But usually, it was more of an exciting way to kill time than a real threat.
It wasn't Koro's first time in a cage, but he couldn't bring himself to like it.
The yellow octopus-like creature sat alone in the school building. The students were long gone, and Karasuma, the last to speak with him, was probably dealing with his issue— i.e., working on killing him. He wondered for a moment if Karasuma knew that this was to happen but shook off the useless thought, not even a second later.
He and Karasuma stood on different sides from the beginning. It didn't matter whether the raven knew; it wouldn't change a thing.
Koro's eyes flashed with something akin to fondness before he directed his gaze back to the room he stood in and away from the shattered window and the moon in the sky.
Pages and pages, pictures, and pictures littered the ground, leaving almost no inch spotless.
His beaded eyes fell on the ground, the broad grin on his yellow face on full display. With a flicker of his tentacles, the multitude of sheets disappeared from their places on the floor. The scattered state of the room vanished, and a group of graduation book patiently sat atop all of the desks.
They were perfectly lined out, smart, and disciplined.
In a flicker, Koro stood on the podium. He looked at his class, and he saw hi— their beloved students, and a sense of accomplishment grew in him.
She would be proud, he mused.
He was proud.
And they should always keep their heads up.
Koro felt accomplished. He closed his eyes, smile minutely dropping as if to accept the situation before he snapped them open and went back to his usual default expression.
