And here you stand,
The perfect man,
I'll push you away."

As I get home, I hurriedly eat some leftovers that dad packed up for me from last night's quick dinner at his place. It's some chicken and pasta. Then I get in the shower, since I feel like I work out every day at the office. Then I step out of the shower and put my robe on, and I'm in the mood for a bit of white wine while I figure out what I'm going to wear tonight. Gladly, Ren, Alex and I hold a videocall to see our options.

Ren is going to wear this amazing and edgy gray plaid suit, that fits her great and doesn't look one bit boring. Alex opts for a sleek, navy suit, a white shirt, no tie, and he will finish the look with a pair of new white sneakers. He's a sneaker addict. I just can't decide what to wear, and I'm just getting distracted with them on the phone. So I hang up and text my fashion guru. My mom.

You: Help! I don't know what to wear!
Mami: Send pictures of what you have, dear.

So I send her pictures of a little black dress, a gray jumpsuit, and a white pencil skirt. These are some basics I can style up for tonight.

Mami: Do you still have the white blazer you stole from my closet during your last visit?
You: Let me dig into my closet.

I have to search in the depths of my closet to find it, because I really like it, so much I stole it from my mom, but I've never worn it. Aha! Found it! It's a really nice cape blazer, so I know this will look very nice with the white pencil skirt. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

You: Yes! It goes perfectly with the skirt! Which top?

I have two options. One is a black bustier top with a little bit of lace, a little risqué. And the other one is a plain white body suit with a round neckline.

Mami: It's up to you, mi niña. Both work but I'd go for the sexy one.

Of course she would. And I think she's right. It looks more put together. So I thank her and send lots of heart emojis.

I dry my hair first, and I straighten it as usual. Then I parted it down the middle and tied two front strands behind my neck to give it an elegant finish. I apply more makeup than usual, because it's a night event, so I go heavier on the eyeshadow and highlighter, and I finish the look with a blush colored lip gloss.

I get dressed last because I would hate to drop makeup on my almost all-white outfit. And the outfit looks so good! I'm happy with the result. As I put on my shoes, my phone starts buzzing.

"Hey, are you ready?" Ren asks with a frantic tone.

"Hi, yeah, almost." I put the phone on speaker so I can finish buckling these white stilettos, and I start putting my things in a clutch.

"Okay, well hurry! There's a surprise for you downstairs!" And now I'm confused.

      "What do you mean?"

"Look out the window." She instructs, so I slowly walk to the window in disbelief, thinking this might be one of Ren's pranks. But I see her and Alex waving from a limousine! A freaking limousine!
