[TARDIS]

The trio has been traveling around for a while now.  Rose has been constantly bugging the Doctor and Katerina about being in a "flirtation ship" as she called it. It was really quite annoying seeing as there is nothing going on between the two.
Currently they were hightailing it through the vortex after a spacecraft. It was quite small and was sending out a distress signal. "What's the emergency?" Rose asks carefully making her way to the console, covering her ears from the alarm.

"It's mauve." The Doctor points to the signal on the monitor.

"Mauve?" Rose questions.

"The universally recognized colour for danger." Katerina explains, earning herself a questioning glance from the two. She shrugs in response. Sometimes I don't know how I know things. They just come out.

"What happened to red?" Rose questions.

"That's just humans. By everyone else's standards, red's camp. Oh, the misunderstandings. All those red alerts, all that dancing. It's got a very basic flight computer. I've hacked in, slaved the TARDIS. Where it goes, we go." The Doctor explains.

"And that's safe, is it?" Rose raises an eyebrow.

"Totally." He forces a smile. We are screwed.
The TARDIS suddenly jolts making them all jump and grab the console to remain upright. "Okay, reasonably. Should have said reasonably there. No, no, no, no! It's jumping time tracks, getting away from us." The Doctor panics.

"And by that he means just assuming we will survive without knowing the odds." Kat mumbles to Rose. She nods in agreement.

"What exactly is this thing?" Rose asks.

"No idea." The Doctor replies as Kat shrugs.

Rose raises an eyebrow. "Then why are we chasing it?"

"It's mauve and dangerous, and about thirty seconds from the center of London."  The Doctor explains.

[Alleyway]

The TARDIS materializes in a back alley between two terraces. "Do you know how long you can knock around space without happening to bump into Earth?" The Doctor asks the girls as they exit the TARDIS.

"Five days? Or is that just when we're out of milk?" Rose jokes.

The Doctor scrunches up his nose. "Of all the species in all the Universe and it has to come out of a cow."

Katerina turns to him raising an eyebrow. "What would you prefer it to come from then?" He shrugs in response as he starts looking around the alley.

"Must have come down somewhere quite close. Within a mile, anyway. And it can't have been more than a few weeks ago. Maybe a month." He guesses.

"A month? We were right behind it." Rose exclaims.

"It was jumping time tracks all over the place. We're bound to be a little bit out. Do you want to drive?" He asks sarcastically.

"Yeah. How much is a little?" Katerina asks. I'm serious about driving though, I really think I could do a better job.

"A bit." He replies a little too fast.

" Is that exactly a bit?" Katerina questions sarcastically.

"Ish." He grimaces. Yea, idiot has no idea.

"What's the plan, then? Are you going to do a scan for alien tech or something?" Rose asks. Pffft as if, he is too stubborn for that.

"Rose, it hit the middle of London with a very loud bang. I'm going to ask." He states, taking out his psychic paper.
