Chapter 10

Jaden POV

I quickly grabbed everything I could and ran to my car with it.

I locked the house up and put the keys in my purse.

I hopped inside my car and sped off.

Fuck a plane. I'm driving.

7 Days Later...

Jaden POV

I had been in New York for about 2 days now.

I had bought myself an apartment and everything.

I even got a job as a waitress.

I cut off all contact with everyone back home, except for 1 person. My cousin De'Mari. I had her arrange my mom's funeral and everything. She's the only one that knows where I am.

I just couldn't take it anymore.

I had to get out of California for a while.

I looked at the time and saw it was time for me to get ready for work, so I went into the bathroom and freshened up.

I put on a pink and black stripped tight fitting long sleeve sweater and some black skinny jeans and pink vans.

I let my hair hang down in wavy curls and added some clear lip gloss.

I grabbed my purse, phone, and keys and locked up my 3 bedroom apartment.

I walked outside and got in my car and headed to the cafe I worked at.

Roc POV

I've fucked up.

She's gone. And I don't know where in the hell she is. She won't return my calls or my texts.

She won't answer Char's calls either.

We really did it this time.

I doubt she's coming back.. So life will just go on I guess.

I heard a knock on the door and I yelled "Come in!"

Char: Hey cuz.

Roc: Hey...

Char: You miss her don't you?

Roc: Alot. But I doubt she's ever coming back, so there's really nothing we can do.

Char: I should've never fucked up the way I did, so don't you even feel bad. If anything I should be the one feeling bad. She was bound to find out we were cousins anyways.

Roc: I know, but I didn't want it to happen like that. Like damn, she's gone...

Char: I know. We have to move on like you said. It'll get better. We just can't stop our lives when a little bump in the road happens.

Roc: You're right. You're right.

I got up off the bed and looked at myself in the mirror.

Only time can tell...

Ray Ray POV

*On the phone*

Ray: You having fun?

???: It's ok. I guess I'm having fun. I mean nobody knows where I am, so no need to worry.

Ray: Yeah, well Walter and Kiesha just called for rehearsal so I gotta go bye Mom.

???: Bye sweetheart.

2 years later...

Nobody has heard from Jaden. Char has actually met a good guy, that's her age! Roc is dating someone new.. Jaden is still in New York with a baby.. Ray continues conversations with this person that may be his "mom."

Prodigy is that lucky guy who swept Char off her feet. Princeton is seeing a girl named Timarie.

Jaden POV

I was off of work this week, and I had finished high school and started my first year of college a few weeks ago!!! Yay!

Let's say... I hit it off with some new people. I made tons of new friends after I enrolled in high school in New York a little after moving here.

I walked into Teonie's room and talked to her. Yes I had a baby girl by this guy I fell in love with...while I was in high school.

Jaden: You ready to go to California with mommy?

Teonie: Yessss Mommy! Me want to go to beach!

Jaden: We will baby girl! Mommy promise.

Teonie: Daddy going?

Jaden: Sweetie, daddy isn't coming. He has to work remember.

Teonie: Oh yeah...

Jaden: Let's finish packing.

I grabbed Teonie's stuff and mine and added a few extra things to our bags.

I think we packed everything we needed for this week, so I grabbed our coats and put Teonie's on her little frame and mine on me.

I grabbed Teonie's hand and our bags in the other.

I walked down to the car and put our bags in the trunk and grabbed Teonie and put her in her car seat in the back and strapped her in. I handed her some fruit snacks to keep her quiet.

I then walked to the driver's door and got inside.

I sped off onto the highway and headed to the airport.

Something told me lately, I should go back to California, so I considered it.

California here we come.

Roc POV

Roc: Ashley, you get your bags?

Ashley: Yes babe, I'm all ready for our vacation.

Roc: Good. Cause our flight is taking off in an hour let's get to the airport.

*At The Airport*

Jaden POV

*Also at the airport*

Jaden: Teonie! We're here!

Teonie: Yay! Beach!!! Beach mommy!

Jaden: Calm down, we have to get to the house first!

I grabbed Teonie and our bags and looked around outside.. I missed that California air!

I called us a taxi and we waited for it in the inside.

As we were sitting inside, I saw someone that looked familiar, but I payed no attention to it. Must have been a gaze or something.

I shook it off and grabbed Teonie.

I saw our taxi arrive and hopped inside with our things.

Back to where it all started...
