A New Start: Fifth Harmony

Chapter 5

DINAH'S POV

        I wake up to the sound of someone crying.  Even thought I'm exhausted I have to go check who it is. What if its Lauren? Is she afraid to ask Callie to adopt her? I quickly hop out of my bunk and climb down careful to be quiet enough not to wake up any of the girls.

        I quietly and quickly pace up and down the hallway with the bunks with my ear to the curtains to try to figure out who it is. Since I know it isn't one of the girls because they would have came and got someone I  start to walk over to the guest bunk Callie is in but realize shes not there. Hmm-mm that's weird, where the hell could that girl go. Shes probably in the lounges since there aren't many places to hide on a bus.

        I walk to the back lounge first thinking that the front lounge is too out in the open to cry in. As I get closer to the door the sniffles get louder and louder and her breathing gets heavier as she tries to stop. 

Knock, Knock, Knock

        "Hey sweetie, its me, Dinah. Please let me in, I'm just going to make sure you are okay." I whisper through the door

        "The door starts to open and reveals a red, puffy eyed Callie.

        "Awwww, come here" I say opening my arms for a hug. Relieved, she accepts the hug and I shut the door and walk over to the couch picking her up. Rocking her back and forth, I sit her on my lap and she nestles her head into my neck.

        "Whats wrong, Cal?" I ask.

        "Everything. I can't do this"

        "What can't you do?" I respond

        "I was awake and I heard you all talking about adopting me.  I'm too worthless for that. I would just hold you guys up. Plus I am too ugly and, and a a n n d....." She breaks down into tears.

        "Callie, everything is going to be okay. Shhhhhhhh, shhhhhh. Don't worry about anything." I rock her back and forth rubbing her back to calm her. " And you listen to me right now, " I say tilting her chin up so we face eye to eye. "You are NOT worthless, ugly, or anything less than perfect. You are a beautiful, sweet, generous, kind-hearted girl who deserves all the best in the world and you tell me if ANYONE says less because they will get it coming.." I continue.

        "Thanks Dinah, that means a lot" She says wiping the tears from her face. Her eyes start to flicker and get heavy.

        "Good job, go to sleep, don't worry. I will be right here when you wake up." I whisper into her ear.

        With that she falls asleep laying on top of me as i stroke her back and listen to her breathing even out. I gently place her on the couch and go into my bunk and grab a few pillows and a blanket. I pick her up again and place the pillows under us and the blankets over us.

        "Goodnight Callie, we all love you very much." I said as my eyes started the shut.

LAUREN'S POV

        I woke up at around 8 and everyone is asleep. That's weird, there is always some movement going on but right now it is generally quiet. Since we are off today I think its best if I let everyone sleep. I plop down on the couch and scroll through tumblr.

        "Hey Lolo, whats up. Seems you woke up early this morning" Camz says sleepily as she walks into the front lounge. She puts her hair up into a bun and comes and sits next to me, resting her head on my shoulder.

        "Nothing much, I have been up since 8, I didn't realize it was already 9:30. Tumblr can sure keep a person busy." I said laughing. "Anyways we should probably wake the girls up, we have a long day with Callie today."

        Camila agreed and we got off the couch and walked over to the bunks. 

        "I got Mani" Camila said. That means I got Ally because we both know we need more than one person to wake up Dinah.

        I quietly push over the curtain to Ally's bunk to see her in Troy's T-Shirt and snuggling a stuffed animal he gave her. Seems like she missed him last night.

        "Wake up Ally. Its 9:30ish and we have a long day today." I said shaking her gently

        "Okay Lauren, I'm up." She whispered back. "Just give me a minute".

        With that I kissed the top of her head and shut her curtain. I turned toward the front lounge and saw Mani and Camz sitting up there already eating a bowl of cereal and a banana.

        "Ready girls" I said to them referring to waking up Dinah.

        They both groaned and followed me back to her bunk. I opened the curtain to see nothing in her bunk. Her blanket and pillows we both gone. That's weird.

        "Hey, Callie isn't here either." Normani said after looking in the guest bunk.

        Hmmmmm that's weird. Dinah is never up this early and is an extremely heavy sleeper. We turn towards the back figuring there is no where else on the bus to look. I pressed the button and the door opened. Sure enough there was Dinah and Callie snuggled up in Dinahs blankets. I grabbed my phone quickly snapping a picture before walking over there to wake them.

        "Dinah, Callie, time to wake up. Its almost 10." I say shaking both of them

        "UGGGGGG, go away Jauregui." Dinah groans while Callie sits up and looks around the room confused but then realizes.

        "Morning guys. I'm going to go get cleaned up, be back in a minute." and with that Callie was in the bathroom.

        "DJ, Why did you guys sleep in here?" Ally asked.

        "Long story, but at like 3 in the morning, I heard someone crying so I went to see who it was and it was Callie so I calmed her down and she fell asleep on me so I decided to go back to sleep too" Dinah said sitting up.

        "Okay guys lets go get ready, we have a lot to talk about today." Ally said as all of us went into the bunk hall to change into our clothes for the day.
