A New Start: Fifth Harmony

Chapter 17

CALLIE'S POV

        As we walk in Lauren lets go of my hand because she has to go to the bathroom. I nod and walk towards the living room area where all the girls and siblings are sitting. I plop down next to Dinah leaning towards her as she wraps an arm around me. 

        "Guys, since we are in Miami for 3 days we should have a family and friends party to introduce Callie a little more." Dinah says looking to me for reassurance. All I do is shrug with a small smile on my face.

        "Yea, we could do it at my house because we live really close to the beach and my parents wont mind." Camila says and we all agree.

        "Guys, Im back! Did you miss me?" Lauren screams running back into the living room. She looks over and frowns when she sees me with Dinah and Taylor snuggling with Ally. She walks over and sits in a spot next to Chris's leaning into him.

        "Oh, so I see I'm your third choice now is that right? huh, the nerve." Chris says squeezing Lauren tight while the rest of us laugh and all go back to the continued small talk. 

        I hop off of Dinah and walk towards Lauren not sure to intrude on their family experience. Once I am in arms reach of them I sit on the floor and lean against the couch. Soon enough I feel a strong pair of arms pick me up and place me to the side of them.

        I look up to see who it is. Its Chris. I look over to Lauren to see her looking at us with the biggest possible smile on her face and everyone in the room looks over to see what is going on.

        Even though I love the reassurance of having Lauren's siblings like me I still get anxiety. Believe it or not, every time one of the girls hug me I get anxiety. I'm just not used to affection after so much time. Lauren grabs my hand and I nod telling her that I was okay leaning into Chris scooting up to make myself more comfortable.

        "If you feel uncomfortable I understand." Chris whispers in my ear. "I just couldn't have my niece sitting all alone on the floor." He finishes.

        "I'm fine actually. Thanks, your comfy." I say closing my eyes while he lets out a chuckle.

        "Go to sleep if you want." He says back and I quickly fall into a sleepy haze.

 LAUREN'S POV

        I look over to see Callie and Chris talking while Callie is resting on him. I think it is the cutest thing ever. I love my siblings so much and miss them so much when I am away. I also love Callie with all my heart so it makes it so much easier that they are getting along. 

        Soon enough Callie falls asleep on Chris while he is rubbing her back softly. The poor girl had a long day.

        "So guys, who are we going to invite to this party?" Camila asks everyone.

        "Um of course family but it might be hard for ours to get here on short notice." Dinah said, pointing to her, Ally, and Normani.

        "Yea, how about like your and Laurens friends, and some that we all know." Normani said.

        "I'll Invite Wes and Keaton from Emblem 3. They were supposed to come to our show tomorrow night anyways so." I said with a huge smile.

        "Someone's excited to see their boyfriend." Taylor said making me turn a dark shade of red.

        Keaton and I have been dating since X-factor. He is the nicest boy and my family and the girls love him. I haven't seen him in about a month so excited is an understatement.
