HARRY'S POV
The next day came more quickly than Harry had expected, he kept tossing and turning in his bed last night, thinking about what he would tell Louis and the other guys. He sighs and gets up from his bed, feeling defeated, he makes his way towards the washroom.
'Good morning.', Louis says, Harry nods in his direction, giving him a polite smile before locking himself in the washroom. He was not ready to face Louis, but he knew going with Nick wasn't a bad idea either. Harry tried to avoid Louis in the morning, giving minimum answers and leaving early for class. Louis noticed this and it kinda bothered him.
In his first class, his mind was wandering off to excuses he could give to Louis. By the second lesson, he gave up, he decided he'll sneak out of the dorm and make sure no one sees him and then he'll decide what to say later. After finally making up his mind, he was more comfortable to face the boys. 'Hey Louis.', Harry said when he saw Louis taking out his books from the locker. 'Oh you are tal;king to me now?', he replies, sarcastically. 'What do you mean?', Harry asks, confused as he opens his locker. 'I realised you were cutting short the conversation in the morning.', Louis says. 'Oh, um, it's, it's, um, nothing.', Harry mumbles. 'Haz, you can tell me. Is someone bothering you? Did Nick ask you out again?', Louis said. It hurt Harry when he saw Louis concerned about him. 'No, no, nothing like that. Just, some, um, assignments are left, deadline's near.', Harry lies. He looks up at Louis who looks straight at him. He nods, seeming to buy Harry's lies. 'Don't worry. I'll see you later.', Louis says, leaving Harry alone.
In the early evening, Harry is getting ready for his so-called date. He is in front of his wardrobe, not able to decide what to wear. He is extremely nervous, not about the date, but about him sneaking out. After what felt like an hour, he finally decided to wear a white t-shirt with hands printed on them with a pair of black skinny jeans and his famous chelsea boots. After calming down and taking deep breaths, he peeks out of his room, seeing that Louis is not in the hall, he exits. He walked slowly because he didn't know where Louis was. He grabbed the keys from the counter, accidentally knocking off a bowl kept there. He stood still, hoping Louis wouldn't come. Much to his relief no one did. Just as he opened the door, he saw none other than his roommate standing at the door. 'Great timing.', Louis grinned, letting himself in. Harry turned around to face Louis, he saw Louis settling the keys and removing his shoes. 'Going somewhere?', Louis questions.
"Um no just out," Harry fumbles for his wallet. "Oh out! Why didn't I think of that!?" Lou jokes but he stops joking when he sees Harry's deer caught in the headlights expression. "Are you sure you're fine Haz?" he asked gently. Under any other circumstances Harry would have loved Louis' soft side used on him. But not now, not when Harry was betraying him, just after they had become civil. Now it was unnerving and it made Harry feel guilty as hell.
