Chapter 3: Grimoire II

bright glow in the room I closed my eyes until the brightness dimmed, after it dimmed I opened my eyes and turned to see Yuno holding a FOUR-LEAF CLOVER! I heard gasps around the room, then there was another bright light and it was right in front of ME! I covered my eyes until the brightness dimmed again and I was SHOCKED! Because on my Grimoire there was a four-leaf clover-like Yuno and in the middle of it there were three fairies!

(Y/N) POV

As I received my Grimoire I heard Asta say

"So..... "

Everyone including me and Yuno turned to look at him on one knee and both hands raised,

"Where is my Grimoire?" Asta continued

"Eh... Try again next year"

The old man replied not shocked that Asta didn't receive his Grimoire yet,

"WHAT!?"

I face-palmed myself

Asta you have no shame have you...

I sighed. Then everyone in the room started laughing, some people even said

What the heck?

That's quite incredible!

Hilarious!

Then I walked with Yuno to the middle of the tower holding our Grimoires in front of us. I sighed again saying

"Asta are you serious!"

I smacked his head with my Grimoire, making him turn around to see us. I and Yuno towered over Asta but not in an evil way just competitive. Then Yuno said

"I will become Magic Emperor"

"Hey! What about me? It'll become the first Magic Empress!"

I pouted looking at Yuno. There was a slight silence but then there was a shout

"AWESOME"

"Their Hage's stars of hope!"

Father screamed while crying, I tried to refrain from cringing from Father's crying, so I smiled.

"(Y/n), Yuno..... Just wait, I will catch up to you two. Because I am your rival!" Asta shouted at us standing up,

That the spirit Asta!

I smiled then glanced at Yuno and saw him widen his eyes before returning to his stoic face before walking away with me trailing behind him and heard him say to Asta

"Not possible"

like in a slow-motion way. I looked behind at Asta in pity before facing forward again.

ASTA POV

As (y/n) and Yuno walked away from me I stayed in my position until everyone left the tower, then walked to my usual training spot and hung upside down with one leg to hang myself on the branch then said

"I thought a Grimoire was all I needed and I would finally be able to use magic. But I couldn't get one"

Then I suddenly remembered a memory of me, Yuno, and (y/n) smiling but I was being healed by (y/n) and Yuno sitting beside her while holding her arm. I got up and stood on the branch that I was hanging from and shouted proudly

"Even so, who says I'm giving up? Fate had better not underestimate me! I'll show you! Even if it takes a year, ten years, or a hundred years, I won't stop trying until I get a Grimoire! I'm going to be Magic Emperor and show all of you that even a poor orphan can become powerful! After that I will ask (y/n) to marry me instead of Yuno, Yuno you are not only a rival for being Magic Emperor! You are also my rival in marrying (y/n)!"
