LOPA'S POV
I am Lopamudra Vashisht sorry Lopamudra Agastya Aloknanda. I am 30 years old. I am married to my best friend's boyfriend. Shocking right? But that is the bitter truth of my life. Agastya Aloknanda aka Agu who was my enemy from my childhood, was my best friend's boyfriend and now my husband. Never in my dreams I ever thought that I will marry him. I know him for almost twenty six years. Yes, you guessed it right. He was my enemy from my kinder garden. I can't believe that we are completing five years once the clock struck 12. Tomorrow is our anniversary. The day that changed both our lives.
I turned myself to look out the best gift of my life. My daughter Adhamya. Agu and I never wanted to marry at first but we had no choice. Coming to my daughter, mom (Agastya's mom) found out that we are not living as husband and wife after two months of our marriage. She started to blackmail us that she needs a grandchild otherwise she would die and all. We had no choice left. So, we consummated our marriage. I am happy that it happened because my daughter is the most precious thing in my life.
Adhamya is her daddy's princess. I was first afraid that whether Agu won't accept our daughter saying that he is not ready or something. But, he proved me extremely wrong. He was with me throughout my pregnancy and he is the one who rules Adhamya's heart more than me. I get jealous most of the time seeing them. Her first word was also "Dada". He cried and laughed hurting his stomach that day as I lost the bet. I had a bet with him that my baby would say "mama" as her first word. But she is her daddy's princess from womb itself. She used to kick when Agu speaks to her, when I scold Agu or fight with him she used to kick very hardly. Now, when I fight with him this father daughter duo is eating my head.
One thing I have noticed in this five years is I have changed a lot myself. From a funny, moody and naughty girl, I have turned into a responsible woman. I am the Co-CEO of the textile industries that dad (Agastya's father) owns. Agu was never interested in that but from childhood I was interested in textile industries. I did my textile technology and also completed my MBA. Now, I am living my dream too.
The clock struck 12. It is our fifth anniversary. I smiled at my husband come enemy. Till now, we are fighting for very petty issues but I sometimes feel that's what bonds us together. I saw that my daughter is sleeping still above Agu. That is their routine. My heart feels warm whenever I look at this scene every day. I went near Agu's ears and whispered "Happy anniversary". I know he is sleeping but still this is the least I can do. If you ask me to name our relationship then I don't know what to say?
I am afraid of one thing that I am going to confess him today. I don't know how he will react to it. I am scared too. Because I know about his anger. He already gave me a clear instruction not to do this. But fate has other plans. I hope, everything will go fine today.
I woke up at 7 am and looked that the other side which was empty. I am late than my usual time but today is Saturday and it is holiday for me. Moreover, I feel tired too. Agu would have left for gym. Adhu is sleeping hugging her teddy. Agu would have given it to her.
I finished my morning chores and went to the kitchen. Mom is preparing breakfast for us as usual.
"Morning Lops dear", mom chirped.
"Morning mom", I replied and bent down to get her blessings but before that she pulled me for a hug. I looked at her with full of tears. My mumma passed away in an accident, when I was ten years old. From that day, mom is the one who taught me everything.
"How many times should I tell you to not touch my feet? I look like your sister only Lops.", saying this she winked at me. I feel so lucky to have her in my life.
I helped her in preparing the breakfast. I went to my room and heard the giggling sound in the bathroom, not to mention the empty bed. It means my husband is bathing our daughter. I opened the bathroom door and saw that Adhu was in her bath tub and Agu was standing in his track pants. Damn, he is looking smoking hot!
