CHAPTER - 3

AUTHOR'S POV

Lopa was stunned to see the scene in front of her. She is in a dilemma whether to be happy for her best friend or to be sad that her marriage life is going to face its end soon. Lot of things is occupying her mind right now. Her best friend Ekiya, is hugging her husband, it may sound cliché but it is a fact now.

While Ekiya was in her own world hugging Agastya, Adhamya came and pushed Ekiya a bit with the maximum force she can give.

"Stay away from my Dada", she warned Ekiya in her baby voice. Adhamya is always jealous when someone is near her dad except Lopa, her grandma and her. She once even threw chilli powder in Agastya's last secretary who was flirting with him. She was just two and half years old at that time.

Adhamya hugged her dad's legs tightly. Sensing her possessiveness, Agastya immediately picked her up in his arms. Onkar and Wridesh thought to ease the situation. So they hugged Ekiya and asked about her whereabouts. Yadavi knows very well what is happening here, as she got to know what happened in all their past life from Onkar before she was marrying Teerth. She took Lopa's hand and started speaking with her.

"Lopa, you don't have to worry. Just look at your princess, she will never let anyone near your husband. Moreover, Ekiya is Agastya's past and you are his present.", Yadavi said to Lopa. But the next question Lopa asked startled her.

"Will you say the same in your's and Teerth's case?", Lopa asked Yadavi. She had no answer.

But after thinking for few minutes, Yadavi started speaking again.

"We don't have anyone which can bind us like Adhamya in our life. Adhu is like Agastya's heartbeat. He can never leave Adhu moreover you guys have one more baby on your way, it is time to cherish these moments, not to be sad", Yadavi tried her level best to console Lopa.

"Ekiya is his heart. He was living all these years just as a body without any soul", Lopa said. She knows very well what is going to be her future in her perspective.

"Do you know that he was living all these years without soul? I have always seen the spark in his eyes whenever you break your fast on karwachauth for him. I have seen jealousy in his eyes, if any man approaches you for a dance. I have seen his care for you whenever you get sick. Still you think he is not happy with you?", Yadavi asked Lopa.

"You are right. But have you ever seen love for me in his heart? I know the answer for this question because his love is only for Ekiya. I am just his frenemy still, nothing more than that. Thank you Yadavi, for being with me, I just know you for a year but today you are standing with me more than any of my best friends", Lopa broke out her tears after saying this.

"Lopa, I am sure everything will be alright. And this is not the Lops, I know, she is always smiling and moreover I don't want a nephew/niece who is a crybaby", Yadavi tried to make her smile and it worked too.

"Yeah, I will tell my baby to be like you Avi", Lopa smiled and hugged Yadavi.

Lopa felt today "Friendship is not about knowing for a longer period of time, it is about being with each other when life gives you tough time". Yadavi proved this to her in a year.

Teerth came near Lopa, he was Lopa's partner in crime all the time.

"Don't worry Noddy. Everything will be alright. Your Teerth is here, what to fear", Teerth started to cheer Lopa. Noddy is what Teerth calls Lopa as she loves to travel a lot from childhood.

"Yea, yea I know Teeth", Lopa stressed his name as Teeth. He hates when someone calls him that.

"It's Teerth not Teeth, still you can't pronounce my name", Teerth said in fake anger.

Ekiya's parents came near Lopa.

"Dear, we are sorry but...", before they could continue Lopa stopped them saying that she is not ready for anything right now. They just nodded their heads.

Lopa noticed that Ekiya was giving her some glares and at last she came near Lopa.

"How are you doing bestie?", Ekiya asked Lopa. Somewhere Lopa felt a sarcastic tone in that.

"I am fine Eki. How are you?", Lopa asked her in return.

"How will I be when I lost everything in my life?", Ekiya asked her with some anger. Lopa just bent her head down.

Wridesh asked everyone to come down for dinner as dinner is served. Lopa got to know one thing for sure that many things are going to change and also changed in her life.

After the dinner, everyone left. Ekiya asked Agastya whether she can also join YWD with them. Onkar interrupted her and asked she was never interested in wedding planning and always wanted to take up her dad's business. But she said she needs some experience so she wants to join with them. Agastya agreed to it but Onkar, Wridesh and Teerth were not really happy with his decision. Even Yadavi asked Ekiya to join her in her designing firm but she neglected it.

Adhamya never left her dad in the whole conversation. She was with her dad all the time. Lopa looked at that scene and somewhere she started believing Yadavi's words. But other side of her heart is not letting her to live in peace.

Lopa and Agastya left to their room after everyone left. But they didn't speak even a single word to each other. Adhamya slept above Agastya as usual and Lopa slept on her side. They are confused about their relation and also about the old relation that had entered their life.

AT DWARKA VILAS (TEERTH'S HOUSE)

Teerth and Yadavi reached their house. Teerth's parents noticed that something happened by seeing Teerth's and Yadavi's face. Yadavi said to them whatever happened there. They felt really bad for Lopa, as Lopa was everyone's fav. She is the kindest person in the group also she is the one who is close to all their friend's parents.

Yadavi and Teerth changed into their night suits. Yadavi is still in deep thoughts thinking about what Lopa asked her. Somewhere she is also scared about Teerth and her relationship. Also next month is their anniversary.

"Yadavi, where is the file which I gave you yesterday?", Teerth asked her. But she didn't listen to him. Teerth saw her and understood that she is not herself. He went near her and shook her a little. She came back to earth.

"I am sorry, I was just lost somewhere", Yadavi gave him reply.

"I know you are worried about Lopa, but don't worry nothing will happen. We will be there with Agu all the time.", he consoled his wife.

"I am not only worrying about Lopa but also about myself. Who knows tomorrow I may be in her place", Yadavi said it openly.

"You know nothing like that will happen", Teerth said in a firm tone.

They both were just looking at each other, then Yadavi broke their eyelock and gave him the file he wanted. Yadavi and Teerth both slept on either side of the bed. Teerth sensed the insecurity of his wife today and it is totally accepted too. He turned to her side and faced her back. He was kinda nervous but gained courage and hugged her from back nuzzling her neck. He knows very well that Yadavi didn't sleep.

"I swear that I will never leave you. I know we never started our life but trust me, I just need sometime... that's all", Teerth whispered it in his wife's ears. Yadavi turned to his side and hugged him tightly. This is the first time in their eleven months of marriage they are cuddling with each other believing that it will be a new beginning for them, but little did they know about the storm that is going to strike their life soon...
