"Zoe has a hernia. It should be fine, but if it starts bugging her some more, then bring her back in and I will have some tests run, and we'll see if we can remove it. Ok?" He said looking at me concerned. I nodded and looked down at my sleeping baby. I kissed her forehead and got up to leave.

"Thank you, Doctor Hickling." I said smiling at him. I looked down at my mom and I could tell that she was stressed, and my sister had tear stains down her face.

"Thank you mom, for looking after her at the restaurant! I'm so sorry about all of this!" I said as we started to walk out.

*at school*

So it's my first day back at school and I'm loving it, well other than being away from my baby. Being away from her is probably the hardest thing a mother has to do!

"Hey, Leigh! Where have you been?" the school's b**** said to me. "You don't look fat at all!" Klarissa said with a smirk on her face.

I just rolled my eyes and started to walk away from her, but her next words stopped me dead in my tracks.

"Heard your a momma now! So, is your baby dead yet?" I spun around and took about 4 steps in 10 feet. I grabbed her by the colar and looked her dead in the eye.

"You say one more thing, and I'm going to make sure that you never see day light again! GOT IT!?" I said yelling the last part into her face. Her eyes widened and she started nodding her head. I let her go and started to walk back to my locker when I heard her say, "What a f***ing b****!" I turned back around, grabbed her should and spun her around punching her square in the jaw.

"Next time you want to say something about me, keep it to yourself!" I spat. I walked to my locker and got my books for my next class. I quickly walked to my next class only to be stopped by, Kyle. I smiled and looked at him like 'What can I do for you?'.

"How's, Zo doing?" he asked looking concerned.

"Oh well she's doing ok, her hernia is still big, but so far it hasn't been bothering her, so that's good!" I said really glad that she's not in pain. He nodded and let me walk into class.

"So glad that you cared to join Leigh! Please take your seat!" Mr. Fernandez my spanish teacher said.

"Vaya a la página 265 de tu texto!" (turn to page 265 in your text) . "Leigh, Podría por favor lea "cómo escribir su currículum" he said now picking on me. I frowned but did as he asked.

"Debe ser legible y debe tener sentido. Si hay faltas de ortografía, el jefe no le contratan." i groaned when I was finished reading. I like spanish, just not the teacher teaching it! At the end of class, my phone started buzzing. I walked to the front doors and asnwered my phone.

"Hello?" I asked into the receiver forgetting to look at the ID. "Leigh, you need to come home! And bring, Kyle, Zoe's hernia is getting really bad! I already called the doctor and he said to bring her in as soon as possible!" my aunt said in a big rush. "OK I'm on my way!" I said hanging and my heart racing a thousand times per second. I ran to Kyle's class, not really caring who saw or heard what I was saying. "Kyle, it's Zoe! She needs to go to the hospital.... NOW!" I said when he didn't move. He jumped up out of his seat and ignored the teacher's threats of detention. That's when, Kyle turned around and shouted back saying, "I'M PRETTY SURE YOU'D LEAVE IF IT WAS YOUR DAUGHTER GOING TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN SHE'S ONLY A MONTH OLD!" and with that we left.

*At the hospital*

We were in the waiting room for what seemed like a day, but only 6 hours.

They were performing surgery on my baby. I looked at my pictures on my camera. I had one of, Zoe smiling for the first time, it was so adorable. Me and Kyle were sitting on the love seat holding hands and just keeping to ourselves. About 15 minutes later the doctor walked back in saying the surgery was a success and that only the mother and father could go in to see her. Me and Kyle looked at each other and got up. We followed the doctor over to the ICU for the babies. We walked into a room that had just, Zoe in it. She had a breathing tube down her throat and she has stitches on her stomach from the insicions. I started to cry seeing my baby like that. It broke my heart knowing that she had to go through this, as a mother you would most definitely wish it was you on that bed, and not your baby! I grabbed onto, Kyle's arm and squeezed it so hard. He grabbed my hand just held onto it. I walked over to her bed and just started singing to her the song my mother used to sing to me.

"Some where over the rainbow way up high, and the dreams that you dream of once in a lullaby.  Some where over the rainbow blue birds fly, and the dreams that you dream of, dreams really do come true. Someday I'll wish upon star and wake up with the clouds to far behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me! Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly, and the dream that your dare to why then oh why can't I? One day I'll wish upon a star and wake up with the clouds so far behind me, where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me. Oh somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly, if birds fly over the rainbow, why then oh why can't I?" I sang.

After singing to her, I closed my eyes and kissed her forehead. Kyle wrapped his arms around my waist and just hugged me while our child slept. It was so hard to see her like this. I never wanted this to have to happen to her!   After we went and saw, Zoe. My mom and the rest of our families went in to see her two at a time.

They just wanted the parent's to see her first. Why does all of the crappy things have to happen to such an innocent baby?! She ain't done nothing wrong!

"Leigh, Kyle would you please come here for a moment. The doctor would like to speak with you!" The nurse said leading us to Doctor Samuels.

"So the hernia was quite big for a 1 month old to be carrying. But she is doing better than we had thought she'd be. She should be awake any minute now. But please just keep close tabs on her! I'd suggest staying home from school, maybe get, Kyle to bring you your homework!" the doctor said with no expression what so ever. I just nodded not really trusting my voice at the moment. After the doctor had left us Kyle turned to me.

"Hey, Leigh she's gonna be fine! I'm going to make sure that I never miss a moment of her life!" He said wiping a stray tear away from my cheek. I smiled and hugged him, he really was a sweet guy!

"Thank you, Kyle! That's all a teen mom wants to hear!" I said just standing there in his arms. He let go of me sooner than I had wanted. "Le-Le, I have something I want to ask you!" he said reaching into his pocket and... _______________________________________________________________________________  Well I hope you guys liked it!
