Chapter 8-Mayor's Office

{Aliyah's POV}

I managed to get Michi awake in time. We were eating breakfast when a black figure hit Michi again. When will Kuro stop bumping into Michi?

"Kuro, come here. I have some food." I said while holding out my hand.

Kuro flew over to my arm and perished himeself. I started feeding him parts of my bread. Turns out he loves sourdough, even cuddled up to my neck and let me pet him.

"Kuro, return."

I looked up to see Shirou with his shoulder ready for Kuro, yet he stayed with me.

"Kuro, return."

Reluctantly Kuro flew over to Shirou. He told us to get ready. The mayor is ready to see us and he'll be taking us. I got ready fairly quickly so we were waiting for Michi, I decided to make small talk.

"Soooooo, how's Izumi? How are you?"

"Hn, he's fine. If you really care about him, I might be able to take you to him."

At that I lit up. It was obvious, Shirou just scoffed, but I didn't take it to heart. Soon enough Michi came out and he took us to the mayor's office.

We were standing in front of Mayor Rose. It was pretty awkward, in honestly. Until the mayor chuckled and gave as a warm smile.

"I've heard quite a bit from Shirou. You claim to be humans? Michiru, I theorize it's from beastman disease." Mayor said

I nudged Michi's side. "Y-yes, ma'm! I think we have disease that turned us into beastmen." Michi said

The mayor continued, "Well, we can't let word of this get out. It will ruin the peace we strived to create here in Anima city. I'll have doctors take blood samples from you both, and we should have the results soon."

"S-shots?" I stuttered

"Yes. Do you have a problem, Aliyah?" Shirou asked.

"No." Yes, I have a fear of needles.

While the doctors were taking our blood , I grabbed the hand of the closest person to me. I turned to Shirou with pleasing eyes, don't let go please my eyes said. Huffing he let my our hands stay intertwined .

"Thank." I said as soon as they finished.

"I have to take care of a few tasks. Keep an eye on Michiru." With that he stalked off.

I met Michi outside the door, she held two phones in her hand. I gave her a look.

"Where did you get the money for this?"

"Let's just say, it's a gift." She replied

I gave her a skeptical look, but took it nonetheless. It had a small star charm hanging off from the side. Turning it on, I connected it with my old account. Michi was streaming something from Facelook. The location seemed similar, turns out we were on the other side of the fountain. We tried to get closer, but we're knocked out.

When I woke up the girl from the video was there. I was also bound to a chair, along with Michi.

"How do you now Ms. Nina." A gruff voice commanded. It sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Huh?

" I said, How do You know Ms.Nina"

"From Facelook."

That caused the girl to be excited, she jumped up and turned into a dolphin. She told her guard to let us go and started showing off trinkets.

"Oh, how I'm so happy that humans are watching my videos, actual humans! These are trinkets I found in the beach! I should introduce myself, huh. I'm Nina Flip!" She said excitingly

Michi had that look. The look she has when she remembers something from before. Nina reminds me of Nazuna, probably the same with Michi. We conversed for a while, it consisted of her denouncing her father and praising humans.

"Do you ever want to go back?" She asked us.

I was looking through the glass. The human world was visible. I sighed. I closed my eyes and touched the glass, "Maybe on day, Nina."

I looked back and my reflection looked different. I was human again. I-I'm me? I looked down at my hands and then to Michi, she was human too!

"This is great! I can take you to a human party I was invited to. On the mainland!" Nina said.

I smiled and nodded. "Sure! Let's be careful, ok?"

Michi and Nina jumped in the air.
