Chapter 6-School

{Aliyah's POV}

I woke up before Michi and decided to get ready. When I looked at the time it was 7:30. Michi won't wake up for a while, why don't I make breakfast! Walking to the fridge, I took inventory. Eggs, flour, milk, butter, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Ah! Perfect for waffles or crepes. I had enough supplies for both. I put an apron on that said, 'What does a panda use to cook his pancakes? A pan duhhhh!'

Soon enough Michi came out. After her Melissa and Shirou also came.

"Mmh, what smells so good." Michi asked

I was finishing setting up the table.

"Oh I made breakfast! There's enough for everyone." I said as my tail began to sway. "There are crepes and waffles, eat up!"

Michi did not wait she began devouring her food. Melissa also seemed to enjoy it. I even snuck a few pieces to Kuro when Shirou wasn't looking. Shirou was the only one who didn't eat immediately.

"Is something wrong with the food, Shirou?" I asked

"No. It's just- it's just I've never had something like this. What is it?"

My tail perked up again. "It's a family recipe! It includes eggs, flour , sugar, milk, and a bit of salt. Try some, you'll like it, I promise." I said as I held a fork with waffles to his mouth.

He took a bite and continued to eat. "T-this is actually pretty good. Good job." He said as he pat my head.

We continued to eat, with the only sound was clanking of utensils. Until Shirou spoke up.  "The mayor's schedule is busy today, and so you can't meet with her today."

"Ok, that'll give us time to look for my wallet." Michi said

I was washing dishes when I realized, something.

"Shirou!"

"Yes, Aliyah." He replied in a cold tone

"You can identify scents for a long range right? So that means you can possibly find Michi's wallet, or at least the relative area." I said

"You're right. As thanks for the breakfast I'll help you with this.

I grabbed Michi's hand and let Shirou sniff it. He told us that it was somewhere by the pier. We began to wonder around until Michi ran towards a figure.

"He was the one who took my wallet!" She yelled

I swear to god, how will she survive without me. Why would she ran towards a thief. I sweat-dropped and sighed as I went after her.  When the figure saw us he began to run. We followed to an abandoned area. The sign was broken but I could still read 'Rabbit Town'.

Marie came out of nowhere. I don't jumped to give her a hug but held her hand preventing me. She gave me a 'what are you doing face' and looked back to Michi.

"I see you're still looking for your wallet." She said. "Since you're such good customers, I'll tell you this. Ask for Gram Grandma."  With that she disappears.

I look around, how does she do that?  Oh well, we continued through the fence and we were ambushed.

We were brought in front a woman, she seemed like the boss.

"Excuse me? Are you Gram Grandma?"

The lady chuckled and said yes. She then said, "What do you want." In a cold tone

Michi gulped, but still spoke. "I want my wallet back."

"Hmmm, why don't we make a deal that'll solve both are problems." Gram said

Michi and I looked at each other before we nodded. We were taken to a classroom filled with children.

"I want you to teach them how to read and write. If you do that, then you'll get your wallet back." Gram explained. She left after that.

I looked over to the children and introduced ourselves.

"Hello, my name is Aliyah and this Is Michiru. We're here to help you learn to read and right." I said while smiling,

We went around introducing ourselves.

"Now, who wants to go first?" I asked

Izumi, raised his hand and I brought him up to the front of the class. I wrote down the characters of his name and helped him sound it out. After that a few more students volunteered and I helped them, while Michi helped the other half.
I looked out the window and saw a shadow looking at us, but it disappeared.

"Whoa! You guys haven't heard of the silver wolf?!" A child asked.

Michi shook her head before the children began to surround us. We sat down in a circle and Izumi told us.

"It is told that the silver wolf protects us, every beastman. Rich, poor, young and old, if you're in danger the silver wolf will save you. It's as if it is always looking for beastman." Izumi said.

Thats a nice story. I thought.

We worked for a little while longer until Gram Grandma came back with her lackeys. We were rounded up, each and everyone child along with Michi and me.

"Well it seems like you taught them how to write, too bad you couldn't get to math, they would've went for a higher price. LOAD THEM UP!" Gram Grandma said.

We were brought to a crate at the pier.
