Dog And Butterfly

Kim stares at the magazine, reading the article again, the woman Layla whom he's link with, states that he talks to her the entire night at the award show. He can't deny that statement though, since she is sitting with them in  their table, he's been answering her questions and had small talks with her. A little bit disappointed that she took that as an opportunity to get attention from the press.

His golden eyes darkens as he look at the invitation letter on the table, this is an invitation for another award show and he dreaded to go but he has to, he needs to promote his new series and needs exposure for marketing purposes.

"It's not gonna disappear if your going to stare at it Kim" Jackson just came in from the pool. They are still in the villa and enjoying the small vacation they were given.

Kim glares at him, knowing Jackson he is the free spirited social butterfly and doesn't care about others opinion, he lives the way he likes. He admires his personality though, people soon lose their interest on him in terms of tabloids and scandals and accepts him just the way he is. Kim has the reputation to hold to and he needs to watch his move, being under watch by his father, he still treats him like the little kid. 

Presa drop her things on the floor and answers the call from Logan, she's a little bit flustered knowing that she fainted while she's on her duty. It's her fault anyway, she's been wearing those sweater and pants, the sun heat is really hot and she's sweating her ass at that time. 

"Yes?"

"We need to prepare within twenty four hours, we will set off to west coast to escort Harlain"

"Copy"

"It's a little bit of a rough mission, I must say" he coughs "Prepare all the things needed"

This is the first time Logan  sound a little bit nervous for a mission, the last time  they had it, it almost cost their lives, thanks for the other team who is nearby treated their wounds and were able to went home safe. Harlain is one of the counsel, this old hag still handles dangerous job but he's been good with it though, hope that this mission will have a good outcome. 

"Presa?" Kim looks at her from the door "Are you leaving?"

"Yeah" she lock her phone and starts to pack her things "I will set up one of my colleagues to escort you"

"You got called for another assignment" he looks a little worried 

"Yeah"

"Be careful then" he is a little bit hesitant but soon walks inside the room and gives her a warm embrace. 

"What is this for?" she squeeze  her head out from his arms and look up to him "I'm not going to die, you know" 

West coast is a dry land that mostly abandoned by the people who used to live here, this is one of the places that most wars happened and due to dry land, there is no crops to harvest. This is the usual place that some clans meets and do their transaction, some don't agree and this place soon become a bloodbath. The mission is to retrieve the confidential chip that stores some of the clans profiles and other assets, it was taken from some bandits who happens to work to one of  their enemies, the Grojacs. This is an S class mission and only the best unit was taken from the head quarters to do this dangerous mission. Harlain leads the team, this old man might look harmless but his mind is out of the scale, he is good at strategy and he loves women. 

Chase is on the team as well, he is good with knives and a stealth shooter. He is used to do close combat and has the fastest feet of all the five of them. Logan is good with traps and tracking. Amanda is one of the best in tracking as well but guns is her forte, she always teams up with Chase. Hanson is their medic and he is good with poisons, he is also good with knives just like Chase. Lastly, Presa is good with snipers and  always station far from them to scouts the place for them since she got the vintage point. This team don't usually go in the same unit but they are the best on each units. Harlain does know how to use his resources, since this is their enemy ground, he takes no loopholes in this mission. 

Chase and Amanda started to scout the place. They are now at the abandon old town city, the place are full of houses and some establishments but they are all abandoned centuries ago. The Grojacs headquarters usually situated at the middle part of town, there is an underground passage, you can enter them from the town's wet market entrance or you can get in from a cave that is 40 meters away from the city. Presa soon making her way to highlands  in order to scout the place and camp herself ready for her post, since she got the advantage of reading the map that was given from Harlain, she is able to see some good places to hide and scout. 

"The entrance seems a little bit quite" Chase said through their ear piece

"Strange" Logan replied 

"We need to prepare ourselves for a possible ambush" Amanda added 

"Copy" they all agreed

Presa soon found her spot, she then starts to camp on the place. She is on the highest peak and the town is very visible on her sight. A large Oak Tree covers her back, which she prefers, since she needs to focus what's on her front, so needs to protect herself for a sudden attack, the tree is just a temporary shield. Grabbing her bag, she then unload her equipment, assembling the sniper, she then attached the muffler and the scope. She sets her tracker from the back, to make sure that she got an alert from a sudden attack. Using the 3D camcorder binoculars, she scouts the places. A sudden movement on the left caught her attention, there are some men sneaking  behind  Chase and Amanda. 

"Chase, 90 degrees from your left, enemy spotted"

"Copy"

Gunshots can be heard from a far and everything is now in motion. Chase and Amanda is engage with the enemies, Logan and Hanson are on their way inside. Presa is now shooting some enemies that are trying to kill Chase and Amanda. Hitting them on the head is the protocol on this mission, no one is left to live, they must kill or they'd be killed.  A rustling sound can be heard from her back and Presa immediately defend herself from the sudden attack. She hiss as she got hit on her left leg, she look at her enemy and counted them, they are six against her. This will be a messy one for sure.
