⚠️TW⚠️: I guess this is necessary...? This chapter has a few mentions of abuse but it's nothing much so you're being warned
"Hyung~ I wanna see Jiminie~" Hoseok whined as he lazily played with the petals of a daisy.
"Hobi-ah, he's just been busy. He promised to meet up soon didn't he?" Seokjin sighed. He couldn't say he missed Jimin too, he worked with him and saw him often, but he could understand where Hoseok was coming from.
The two were standing by the front counter, the shop recently opening up again after the lunch break. Taehyung wasn't working today, so it was just Seokjin, Hoseok, and another random employee who stayed in the back.
"I know..." Hoseok pouted and plucked a petal off the flower in his hand.
"And how come you and Taehyungie haven't been able to hang out recently?" Hoseok looked up at Seokjin with an arched brow. "You always say that you're busy but never tell me what. It's not my business, but I'm your friend."
Seokjin didn't know what to tell him. How was he supposed to say "Oh, Kook and I work for Korea's biggest mafia and Taehyung knows but isn't allowed to say anything?" He couldn't.
"Hobi, just drop it for now, ok? Instead, you can help me plan Kook's birthday surprise!"
Hoseok agreed and the two began planning. A few customers would stop by, interrupting their planning, but afternoons were typically slower, so there weren't many distractions.
Hoseok wasn't very close to JungKook, but he knew him, obviously. He was dating his two best friends so of course, he knew of the strong, handsome, Jeon JungKook.
JungKook was the type to only show his love and affection to Taehyung and Seokjin, but he wasn't cold to others, just quiet. This led Hoseok to assume he didn't like him when they first met, which then led to Hoseok having a mental breakdown since he knew he'd have to see him more often. It took a lot of explaining and an awkward hug to clear things up for the boys.
"See ya, Hoseokie," Seokjin waved as he left the shop. Hoseok sighed and got out from behind the counter and began to clean up the shop. He hummed a soft tune to himself as he did so.
The brunette shivered once he was outside, it was getting colder. He ignored the chill and locked the doors before beginning his walk home. He was minding his business, sulking because his friends couldn't hang out, when he heard something from behind him. He didn't think much of it since this area was known for people walking home or to work.
It wasn't until he heard the footsteps get louder. They were getting extremely close to Hoseok, and by now he was panicking. He wasn't the most athletic, so if he ran he'd make it a half a mile before giving out. His thoughts were interrupted when a pair of hands gripped his waist, holding him in place.
"Hoseok-ah~" Hoseok froze when he heard the man's voice. He knew that voice, though a lot of the time he wished he didn't.
"W-What do you want?" Hoseok cursed himself for stuttering, but in his defense, he was terrified.
"I want you, Baby," Hoseok could feel the man's breath on his neck, making him tense up more. Hoseok wanted to scream, he wanted to run and hide in his apartment. But he couldn't. He was frozen in place, plus the tight grip on his waist prevented him from moving.
"Go away, Siwoo!" Hoseok shouted, trying to sound confident. Siwoo snickered and tightened his grip, pulling Hoseok against his chest.
"You suck at hiding your emotion, Seok-ah," Siwoo turned him around to face him, keeping his grip tight. "You're scared... I love it."
Hoseok wanted to cry, but he held back his tears. Hwang Siwoo, (a random name I made up) his ex. He's been stalking Hoseok since they broke up 3 months ago.
He was verbally abusive and Hoseok couldn't take it, so he ended things. Siwoo wasn't happy about this at all, so he continued to try and see the brunette, but was normally pushed away by Seokjin, Taehyung, or Jimin. Sadly, none of them were there.
Another thing about Siwoo was that he was Schadenfreudic, meaning he found pleasure or amusement in others' responses to pain or misfortune. In Hoseok's case, it was the fear and pain he felt when Siwoo was with him.
That's the main reason Siwoo kept Hoseok around so long and continued to see him. Hoseok was sensitive and struggled to hide his emotions, which made it easy for Siwoo to keep him and find pleasure within the small boy. (Hoseok is a smol bean in this story)
"How about we go back to my place, hm?" Siwoo lifted his right hand and harshly gripped Hoseok's chin up to look at him, keeping his left hand on Hoseok's waist.
Hoseok squeezed his eyes shut and tried to pull away from Siwoo, but his actions only resulted in him being picked up over the tall man's shoulder.
"Stop! Put me down! Please!" Hoseok sobbed, hitting and kicking his ex in efforts to escape, but he knew what was to come. He was thrown into the passenger seat of an old pickup truck before Siwoo slid in beside him and drove off.
Hoseok curled up in a ball against the door, sobbing into his knees that were tightly pressed to his chest. He knew where they were going, and he knew how his night would end. Oh, how he wished he could have driven to work.
