It wasn't long after the three year mark that we began talking about moving in together. There was just one problem that we couldn't solve. We both had apartments in our own shops, and it was so much cheaper to live there. We mostly just stayed in one apartment for the night and changed every few nights when we felt like it, but it was getting old, quickly.

A raindrop hits the water.

"What if we knocked down the wall between our apartments?" He asked, biting his lip, thinking intently. His arms were wrapped around my waist, and his head rested on my shoulder.

"That would cause a lot of structural issues for my cafe and your bakery," I sighed. It was a good idea, but I just didn't see how it could be executed.

"What if we renovated both of our buildings and knocked down the entire wall that separates us and combined our shops?" He asked.

  It causes a ripple.

It was an idea with an execution that would take a lot of time and effort, but seeing as people who went to his bakery would also stop by my cafe, it was a logical thing to do, business wise.

It took a lot of time, but eventually, about half a year later after some intensive construction and renovations, the bakery and the coffee shop were combined, as well as mine and his apartments.
