It's been a few days since your relocation to Carne.
The days went well, and you've made more potions with Nfirea since your first try. The results haven't changed that much since the first time, but the young boy was sure about it: it keeps going better every time you two practice alchemy together.
You also introduced yourself properly to every person in the town. There aren't a lot of people, so you did it in no time!
You were surprised to see that there were goblins living there too. You understood quickly that they were all well intentioned and obedient to Enri. You also learned that they were invoked by a magic object from Ainz Ooal Gown. You were deeply tempted to ask more questions about him, but you had the weird feeling that you shouldn't... Somehow, it was like your survival instinct was screaming at you to stay as far as possible from this guy.As the night came, you sighed and sat down on the edge of your bed. You looked with tired eyes at the potions on your nightstand. Is what you were doing right? You felt like this question was in your mind since the demon changed the way of your life. But since your last encounter with him, it seems like you didn't have the guts to face that question... You wanted to survive, but at what price? It was like you were giving bricks to a giant shadow. You were perfectly aware that something had started to build in there and you couldn't tell what it was, but you were now a part of it.
Terror, guilt, and apprehension were now giving you a terrible feeling in your gut.
As you were slowly sinking down, you heard the sound of two heels clearly hitting the ground in front of you.
"..."
"Don't act like you don't hear me walking in. It's pretty upsetting."
You didn't have to look up, you had perfectly recognized the demon. His voice had penetrated your mind since the first time you heard it.
"Are you waiting for me to welcome you here like a little cute wife or something?"
You mentally slapped your face at your stupid punchline, it sounded definitely more cool in your head...
"To be honest, not really."
Demiurge was particularly upset about the fact that you were keeping your head down. He really wanted to see your expression when he walked in, what a tease.
You stayed silent, and he spoke again.
"I see that you actually worked on what I asked you, I'm glad to see that despite being unwelcoming you're obedient."
You were a little bitter at what he said, but you kept your calm.
"I'm usually not good at working under pressure but as I didn't have a choice..." You finally lifted your head and looked on your right, avoiding eye contact with him.
Demiurge noticed your putty face, he stared at you a little as he thought that this expression wasn't that bad.
Feeling his look on you, you finally looked in his direction, waiting for him to take the potions and just leaves.
"Go ahead, they were made just for you, I will tell Nfirea that I tested them or lost them, it's okay."
You surprisingly saw him walk toward you, you panicked a little... Maybe your responses were a little too harsh?? You were upset and tired so you spoke to him like a normal person... Maybe your way of speaking makes him angry...
He sat next to you but left a reasonable distance between the two of you as if he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable.
"I realized yesterday that I didn't know your name."
You looked at him in shock, that was completely unexpected. Did a fly bite him and make him sweeter?
"It seems weird to say my name to someone who is still not showing his face, don't you think?"
"..." The demon doesn't answer immediately, he seems like he was seriously thinking about it.
"You're right, I don't think there's still any reason for me to wear this in front of you."
He removed the blue object with an elegant and precise gesture. The mask revealed a long face. He was wearing round glasses, his skin seemed strangely soft, and as you had already guessed, he was smirking while looking at you.
You felt a little weird sensation in your stomach, somehow his face had relaxed you fairly quickly.
You saw that his expression changed as well for some seconds and then came back as his usual smirk.
"So?"
Ah yes, your name... You had already forgotten about that.
"Well, I can't say no to your demand now... My name is (Y/N)."
"I will remember it from now on."
You felt his weight leave the edge of your bed and saw him get up.
"As you've already guessed, you didn't see me tonight and this conversation didn't exist, I am counting on your discretion."
You simply nodded. He took the potions and silently left.
You took a deep breath and let your body fall into your bed. The tension was still in the air, but it was a little different from the last time... You wished that in the future that he would act like this, as it was better than your previous encounters.

As Demiurge was back to his farm, he sat on a chair and looked at one of the potions.
He then sighed and closed his eyes...
He was so impatient to see the various expressions on her face, but he was surprised that his favorite was the one she made when he pulled out the mask. He couldn't say why, but this one, in particular, suited her well, a melange of surprise and a little bit of sweetness. It wasn't in his usual tastes but it seems like today, he was pleased with what he saw.________________________________
