The Adventures of Ahsoka Tano

Eli's POV

I've never been on a ship like this before. I've studied these types of ships before so in theory, I know everything about this ship. But only in theory. I know how to do a lot of things in theory but actually doing are two very different things. Maybe the council is right and I'm not ready. We arrive on the command deck. I watch Master Tano and Captain Rex pull up a map of Mandalore.

"Maul has been spotted in the capitol building, resources say he's taken over Mandalore," Rex said.

"So where are the entrances?" Master Tano asked.

"There's the main entrance on the north side and a side entrance on the east side that are both heavily guarded," Captain Rex said.

"So much for this being a stealth mission," Master Tano commented.

"I have a suggestion," I pipe up.

"What is it, Eli?" Master Tano asks.

"Well, I read in a book at the temple that shows all of the secret entrances to the palace. There's one entrance that leads to right outside the palace room. You have to go to the sewer systems on the lower levels to get there though," I said.

"Sounds better than alerting the whole city of our presence," Captain Rex replied.

"Then we'll do that. Rex, please inform your troops what the plan is," Master Tano commanded.

"Yes commander," Rex said leaving the room, "hey kid you want to come with me to tell them the plan that you came up with?"

"Sure," I said quickly.

Master Tano smiled approvingly as we left the room.

We began walking quietly unsure of what to say to each other.

"Do you normally do missions like this?" I ask.

"I've done any type of mission you can imagine," Rex answered.

"Were you nervous for your first mission?" I ask.

"Yeah, I was. In fact, there were quite a few missions where I thought I was going to die," he answered, "Is this your first mission?"

"Yeah it is and the council didn't approve of me going," I said.

"Why not?" he asked.

"They said I'm too young and inexperienced even though I passed all of my trials and even let become a padawan."

"If the Commander brought you on this mission then you're ready, don't worry about what others say about you," he said.

"I really needed that thank you," I said.

"Anytime kid,"

We entered the main hangar where the rest of the troopers were hanging out. We stop near a projector and turn on the map of the capitol building.

"Boys we got ourselves a plan," Captain Rex yells. The squad comes over quickly.

"What's the plan?" One trooper asks.

"We're going to enter on the south end of the city and enter the sewers. Then there is a passageway that leads right to the room Darth Maul is at," I said.

"So we takeover from the inside out?" The same trooper asks.

"Basically," I answered.

"That either gives us a very good advantage unless something goes wrong then we're trapped," Another trooper commented, "I like the odds."

"Any questions?" I ask.

"No sir!" The squad yells.

"You are dismissed," I say.

"Yes sir!" They say.

"You handled that like a professional," Captain Rex commented, "I can already tell that you have a talent for planning."

"Thank you, Captain," I answer.

"You want to hear some stories about your master while we wait?" he asked.

"Yes!" I answered.
