Chapter 14

Nisha's POV

It was 8:00 am nung umalis ako and went to the house of my parents para magpaalam and to get my pups.
Then it took me two hours to travel, the buildings passed by like a blur and the farther I get, the more trees, smaller houses and empty lots came to view and finally ay nandito na ko.

I sighed as I got out of my car, the air was fresh and there are a lot of plants and rice fields, there's also cows and I could hear the clucks of chickens nearby.

Although my place was also quiet and malapit sya sa kagubatan, this place gave more of a peaceful feeling, maybe because there are farm animals around.
There was a stone house there that was rather large. Then a short plump woman, (shorter than me) went outside. As soon as she saw me nanlaki ang mata nya and a large smile appeared on her face.

"Nisha! Buti napadalaw ka?" sabi nya at niyakap ako, then she kissed my cheek and I did the same to her.

"Gusto ko lang magbakasyon for a little while, magtututor pa rin naman ako every morning, but gusto ko lang ng konting change of scenery at para na rin bisitahin kayo." I said and she nodded her head.

"Mabuti naman.." she said and suddenly her eyes narrowed at me.
"Bakit ba tuwing dumadalaw ka rito parang pakapal ng pakapal ang makeup mo?" tanong nya.

I chuckled,
"Hindi naman ah, tsaka bayaan mo na, ganyan ko iexpress ang sarili ko eh bakit ba."

She shook her head,
"Hay naku, naku Nisha, Bakit di mo gayahin Mama mo? Kamukha mo pero simple lang, ang ganda pang tingan."

I rolled my eyes,
"Tita, I'm not my mother. Ewan, tara na nga pasok na tayo, kunin ko lang yung mga aso ko saglit then yung mga gamit ko."

"Pati yung mga aso mo dinala mo?" Tanong ni Tita and I shrugged.

"I mean, I'd miss them kapag di ko sila dinala."

"Oh sige, sige. Baka ma-nosebleed pa ako sa kakaenglish mo. Nasa loob yung pinsan mo." she said at tumango na lang ako.

I carried Annabell Lee and Evangeline inside, deciding to put them in their cage muna while I fix my things.
As soon as I entered I was greeted by a warm hug from my fourteen year old cousin who was already taller than me.

"Ate, namiss kita!" she sweetly said.

"Aba ang tangkad mo na ah. Sandali lang, kulong ko muna tong dalawang to." I said habang nakataas ang kamay ko para mailayo yung dalawa who were growling at her.

"Aw ang cute naman nila! Ano pangalan nila? At bakit ang liit nila?!" tanong nya at bumitaw sakin.

"This is Annabell Lee." I said and look at my left hand holding the white dog then tumingin ako sa kanan kong kamay kung saan hawak ko yung kulay brown naman. "And this is Evangeline. Chihuahua sila."

"Ohh ang cute naman nila." she said, pumasok si Tita na dala yung may kalakihang kulungan ng dalawa and assembled it, then nilagay sa may gilid, nilagay nya rin dun yung mga higaan nung mga aso sa loob.
I went to put them inside and locked the door. Malaki ang kulungan nila so I'm not worried that they would get uncomfortable there although there are times na kapag nilalagay ko sila dyan they would cry to be set free.
Salamat naman ay tahimik sila ngayon except for their subtle growling directed dun sa pinsan ko at kay Tita.

"Thank you, Tita." I said at ngumiti lang sya at tumingin dun kay insan.

"Elayne, tulungan mo ang ate mo mag-ayos ng gamit nya, share muna kayo dun sa kwarto mo." She said and Elayne nodded excitedly.
