Chapter 22

Nisha's POV

I was greeted by cheers and congratulations from the other women and si Mattet naman ay medyo tumatalon-talon pa.

I badly wanted to throw the bouquet away, to tell everyone that this is just a huge mistake at ulitin ulit yung pagbato ng bulaklak, but instead I forced myself to smile.

This isn't happening..

Nung nasa reception na kami I was sitting at a table with Lucian, Matt, Hans, Mattet and her husband habang kumakain. The couple were talking about their sweet moments and the baby inside Mattet's womb.
While she was talking, Lucian can't stop holding my hand in his and repeatedly squeezing it as if he was excited about something.

“Excited na talaga ako. Feel ko girl talaga ito.” Mattet said and look at her husband who smiled.

“Boy.” he said.

“Girl.” Mattet retorted back.

“Boy.”

“Girl! Mas maalam ka pa sa nanay.” Mattet said, rolling her eyes which made her husband chuckle.

“Oo na, oo na. Girl na.”

I suddenly felt Lucian lean to whisper in my ear.
“Do you want a girl or a boy for our first baby?” he said, his breath causing goosebumps to rise on my skin.

I look at him with wide eyes.
Me? Having a baby with him?  No. Not happening.

I gave him an awkward smile, not knowing how to answer.
“How about never?” I mumbled to myself and unfortunately he seems to hear what I just said.

One of his eyebrows raised as he stared at me and I pretended na nakikinig na ako sa mga sinasabi nila Mattet.

An hour went by at bumalik na yung newly wed couple dun sa usual table ng family nila leaving me with Hans, Lucian and Matt.

Everything was silent when,
“CR muna ako.” Matt said.

“Lucian samahan mo.” Hans suddenly said kaya muntik na akong mabilakuan sa kinakain kong brownies.

“What?”
“Ano?!” Lucian and Matt both said na para bang nagulat din sila na ewan.

“Samahan sa CR. Bilis na naiihi na sya.” Hans said at tumingin kay Matt at pinanlakihan sya ng mata.

Matt then nodded his head at tiningnan sya ni Lucian na parang may halong pandidiri.

“Go by yourself.”

Hans nudged my foot under the table with his own and I coughed awkwardly.
“Lucian samahan mo na sya, nakakahiya.”

Lucian then glared at me and I shrink in my seat. He then look at Hans.
“Why don't YOU accompany him?”

Hans raised his Hans defensively.
“No way. Babae ako.”

Lucian huffed in his seat glancing at Matt then Hans as if he was suspecting that they're planning something he wouldn't like.
“No.”

There was a few moments of silence as if Matt was unsure about something and then he was staring at something at the entrance.
“Abah, bakit ngayon lang dumating si Finn?”

“Finn?!” Sabay naming sabi ni Lucian making him glare at me once again.

Tumingin sakin si Matt,
“Oo, Nisha tinatawag ka ata. Nisha daw eh.” he said.

I look up and sure enough, I saw Finn at the entrance. I was about to stand up but Lucian took my hand at pinaupo ako.

“Stay there. Ako pupunta sakanya.” he said, eyes narrowing and marching towards the entrance.
