CHAPTER 6 - Kageyama

"Something wrong?"

"Two of their Wings Spikers would still be at the back once we rotate," I mumbled.

"and?" Mark looked at me curiously.

"I'll be at the front once we rotate which means,"

"We could stop them," Yuki finished my sentence with his odd grin.

Fweet-

Nobuo got into position and hits a serve.

"Shit." Mark elegantly cursed in surprise.

The ball hit the net but Mark was able to save it in time.

'It's high but-.'

Without hesitation. I jumped.

'The floor is too slippery!' I panicked.

I quickly slammed the ball to the other side of the court.

[Blue 4-3 Yellow]

Once I landed on the floor I couldn't help but wince. I landed on my left foot too hard. The pain was electrifying.

silence-

"Huh? HUH? HUUUUH?"

"What was that."

"Ain't this match a little too fast?"

Confusion filled the gymnasium.

"It's a little painful but I should be able to last until the end. I just gotta limit my jumps and slow down my speed now." I frowned and held back a groan.

Though I do want to play normally. I do not wish to bet my entire volleyball career on it.

'This is hard wooden floor. Not sand.' I huffed.

I held back my frustration and focused into the match.

Rotating to the back, Jun held his breath and held the ball with shaky hands.

"I can do this," He comforted himself.

Fweeet-

Jun tossed the ball in the air and pulled back his right arm.

Thack-

"Out!"

[Blue 4-4 Yellow]

"Don't mind, don't mind!" Yuuma scouted from the side.

"It's alright, you can do better next time," Nuyuki encouraged his friend.

"That's right," Mark smiled giving him a thumbs up.

The middle blocker who mocked me rotated to the back and held the ball tightly.

Fweet-

Similar to Jun. He pulled back his right arm and hit it normally.

The ball was again, received by Mark.

"Yuki!" Mark called out.

Yuki then set the ball to Nuyuki who's side was left open.

Unfortunately, the opposing middle blocker Kenji left it open on purpose.

"One touch!" He shouted.

The ball was then quickly saved by Nobuo.

"Kim Tae Joo!" Nobuo signalled that he's going to send it to red-haired Korean.

Tae Joo quickly scanned the other team and rebounded the ball.

"Not bad," Li Wei whistled impressed.
