"Run, Elena!" Draco shouts.

I began to stumble a little as I run from our father.

Draco tries to hold him back from laying a hand on me but only ends up getting himself hurt in the process.

"No!" I scream.

My father looks at me with evil eyes and a sinister grin as he charges towards me. I ran upstairs, desperate to get away from him.

"Colloportus!" I shout at the door and he quickly counteracts it.

"Alohamora!"

I fear for my life as he struts up to me.

"No, please!" I shout, begging him to leave me alone.

"Elena, you're having a nightmare again." Hermione states as she jolts me awake.

I shoot upwards, breathing heavily. I notice my surroundings and begin to calm down.

"Sorry, Mione." I whisper, glad I didn't wake everyone else.

She looks at me with sympathy as she lays down next to me.

Hermione is probably the only person who knows how to help me on nights like these. Angelina and   Ginny are deep sleepers. They've never heard it.

Unbeknownst to her, I don't have nightmares. Those are memories of things Lucius actually did to me and Draco.

As I lay there and allow Hermione to drift to sleep, I get up and head to the showers.

Seeing as how it's nearly 3:30 in the morning, I was the only person in the showers. I take off all of my clothes and step into the shower.

As I turn the water on, I let it run over me as I allow the warmth of it wash away all of the pain that memory just caused me.

After that very long shower, I go back to my room and get dressed, drifting back to sleep before breakfast.

        ———

It was Friday so that meant the Gryffindor party was tonight. I was rather excited for it. My last class was Potions and I could barely contain my excitement as I approached the door.

I entered Potions class with a huge grin on my face. I was having a great day. Nothing could ruin it.

As I sat down, Ron sat next to me and I turned to tell him how excited I was. As I turn, I'm not faced with Ron but instead Harry.

My grin faltered when I saw his face.

Well, I lied. It got ruined.

I did a great job avoiding Harry for the past few days. At least until Ron decided to switch seats with him.

I looked back and saw Ron looking at me with a faint smile. I give a false smile in return.

"I'm going to kill you." I mouth.

Ron gulped nervously as I reluctantly turned to face forward.

Harry tried talking to me during class but I ignored him. As the lesson droned on, Snape was telling us how to brew the Anti-Paralysis potion.

"You remember when you needed to use that one night?" Harry whispered in my ear.

My skin warmed as his breath came into contact with it. The truth is I've missed Harry's so much.

We've never gone more than a day without talking. But, I'm not folding. I refuse.

"And it will never happen again." I whisper back.
