I'm walking down down the corridor by myself. It's the night before our O.W.L.S. and I'm heading to the library to meet Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

I pause for a moment because I hear crying. Two familiar voices mix in with the crying as I step closer.

"What's your name?" Fred asks the little boy.

"Michael." the little boy says through his sobs.

"It's going to be fine." George says.

"Yeah, it's not as bad as it seems." Fred chimes in.

The little boy was still crying when George starts to speak again.

"See, it's fading already?" George tells him.

"You can hardly see ours anymore. And the pain stops after a while." Fred states.

They look up and acknowledge me as I smile at them. I turn in the direction of Umbridge's annoying voice as she clears her throat.

"As I've told you once before, Ms.Malfoy, naughty children deserve to be punished." she remarks.

I roll my eyes and stop myself from visibly gagging. She turns around and leaves as Fred begins to talk.

"You know, George. I've always felt our future lay outside the world of academic achievement." Fred says, looking to his twin.

"Fred, I've been thinking exactly the same thing." George replies with a smirk.

I look up at the two of them and raise an eyebrow.

"You're planning something. Tell me." I demand.

"Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head about." Fred assures me.

"Ah, so you do think I'm pretty?" I ask with a grin.

He looks down at me and smirks.

"Darling, you already know I do." he responds.

Fred holds eye contact with me and I sigh. I'm brought back to our surroundings as George clears his throat.

"Well, I have to go. Harry, Hermione, and Ron are waiting for me in the library." I state.

Turning on my heels, I stride down the corridor in solitude.

I actually adore walking alone. It leaves me to my thoughts. The way they swirl around my mind keeps me on my toes.

I bend the corner and see the mahogany doors of the library facing me from the end of the corridor.

I tread lightly as I continue walking. For some reason, this corridor seems longer than the others. I shrug it off as my mind playing tricks on me and I make my way through the door.

"Merlin, Elena! It's nearly curfew. Where have you been?" Hermione asks, looking at me.

"It's a long story. It's fine. I know everything there is to know anyways." I tell her as I sit down.

"It's like you don't care about punctuality." she glowers.

I laugh as I look over at Ron and he looks upset.

"Hey. Are you okay?" I whisper to him, placing my hand on his shoulder.

He jumps in response and looks at me nervously.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't study with Hermione. You're a much better tutor." he smiles at me.

"He's just mad I won't let him copy me and not do anything for himself." Hermione states, her eyes never leaving the book.
