- Another major death will not occur
- There will be something never before discussed for witches and wizards in this chapter
After Harry collects Snape's tears and we watch him slowly die, we start to run back to the castle. Until it starts again.
"You have fought valiantly. But in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to retreat. So that you may dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and accept your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman, and child who tries to conceal you from me." Voldemort voice rings in our heads.
Just as I regain my composure, a Death Eater appears in a cloud of black smoke. I quickly recognize it to be Bellatrix and I draw my wand.
"Avada Kedavra!" Bellatrix shouts, pointing her wand directly at me.
I feel my body go limp as I fall to the ground, my knees hit the pavement hard. I hear faint screams from around me as my entire world goes pitch black.
Is this the end?
Ron's POV
It feels as though my entire world came to an end the second Elena's body hit the ground. Bellatrix disapparates before either me or Harry can have the chance to retaliate.
I rush over to her and I run my hands across her body.
Already, she feels cold.
Why is she so cold?
I begin to shake her as tears silently fall from my eyes.
"Lenie, come on. Get up. Please get up." I beg.
She's not moving. No matter how hard I shake, how loud I plead, she will not move.
She can't be dead. My Lenie isn't dead.
Harry walks over to me put his hand on my shoulder.
"Ron, she's gone. We have to go." Harry says.
I begin to sob. Because I can't believe it. I won't believe it.
This can't be how our story ends. That's not what's happening here.
Harry keeps shaking me. As if I'm the one laying lifeless on the ground. As if my aunt just killed me.
"No! I'm not leaving her." I shout as I wipe the tears from my face.
I pick her up and carry her as we walk back to the castle.
I know I can't face them after this. How would I explain this to them?
To my surprise though, no one is here.
"Where is everybody?" I question as we walk through the courtyard.
We walk through the front doors and we turn into the Great Hall. Everybody is in here, collecting the dead and saying their goodbyes.
I walk over, with Lenie still in my arms, as I hear gasps and murmurs emerge from around me.
I walk up to my family and I place her body on the floor as I kneel beside her. I run my hand through her hand as I begin to sob again.
This isn't happening right now. Elena isn't dead. This has to be some sick dream.
One that I seemed to have not waken up from. One that feels too real. Is it real?
