Chapter 6: Vanilla
Loki's P.O.V.

I took a walk around the facility during my break, to let the time pass by. As I turn the corner to the lobby I immediately attempt to back away; as I recognize the figure at the informational desk.

"Loki!" The sound of Thor's growl echoes. I find myself frozen in my tracks, cursing under my breath, as brother stomps hastily towards me.

"Thor, what a pleasant surprise to see you here this after-" cut-off by his yank on my neck, he begins to chastise me. "Stark tech gave me a notification for surveillance footage, spotting you in town yesterday."

"Interesting." I reply, pretending to look confused.

"What were you doing in town Loki?" Thor quires, rather threatening.

"Quite simple really, a friend invited me out." I answer.

"What friend?" Thor knits his eyebrows.

"Well, an agent." I reply.

"What kind of agent would risk something, as to possibly let you escape into New York?"... "Again?" Thor asks bewildered.

"Trust me Thor, she's not your regular agent; to escape under her observation would be very unwise." "-and with my powers neutralized..." I explain.

"-and who is this not-your-regular-agent?" Thor arches a brow.

I had to ask the secretary if Agent Evans was available; due to Thor's concern. She was out on an assignment but, we were led to the research centre to wait upon her arrival. Fifteen minutes later the ceiling retracted open and she descended engulfed in flames.

"That's her." I inform.

The flames subside and the cooling mechanism automatically sprays her form.

She walked over to the exit briskly then, slowed down once she noticed our presence. "Good afternoon, gentlemen." She addresses.

"a- Afternoon." Thor replies, after a minute of his mouth ajar. "Are you the Agent that took my brother out town yesterday?" He asks.

"Yes... is there a problem?" She knits her eyebrows.

"No, not a problem, I wanted to make sure that my brother hasn't been up to any shenanigans." I roll my eyes at Thor's attempt to make small talk, at my expense.

"Well, I can assure that he hasn't been up to any shenanigans." "-and it was fully my idea to have him accompany me." She addresses.

"Okay, well, I can see all is good here so I will be heading back." "Nice to meet you, Agent Evans." Thor smiles. "Nice to meet you as well." Mal replies.

Mal and I remain silent as Thor walks towards the exit. "I'm so sorry, how much trouble did I get you in?" She asks, as soon as Thor left the hallway. "It's not the worst I've gone through." I shrug. "I promise, I'll make it up to you." She consoles.

I get an knock from the door at my dorm, it happens to be Malinda holding two tubs of ice cream. "Care to join me at the lounge area?" She offers. "I didn't know what flavour you liked so I just got vanilla." She explains. "Thanks." I answer.

She happened to find the entire film of Macbeth and played it from the projector; onto a large screen, as we ate the ice cream.

"Malinda, this is brilliant." I express. "Told you, I'd make it up to you." She winks. "Thank you." I sigh. "Anytime." She smiles, before directing her focus back to the screen.

I gaze at her bit, thinking to myself how different she is. From the rest of the people I've encountered here. What frightens me even more is, how fond I'm becoming of her.
