A Twisted Game

Chapter 17

The next two  months had rolled by like nothing even happened. By the time they had gotten 

out of bed they could hear Seamus and Peeves running from Filtch because they were making 

to much a ruckus while he was trying to sleep. St.Patricks day was coming up but they called it 

something else. Finnigan day. " Happy Finnigan Day Harry." Draco said trying to get him up. He 

hasn't been as stubborn lately. " Happy Finnigan Day Kitten." Harry said not meaning to let the 

pet name slip. " Come on we have to get to Hagrid's soon you slept in and I brought up some 

Treacle tart and coffee." Draco said motioning towards the desk. Harry got up walked over and 

kissed Draco on the cheek. " Thanks Kitten." Then he sat down and ate. " Anytime Harry." He 

said getting some of his work done that he forgot to do the night before. When he had finished 

he looked at the time. " Come on. We have to go to Hagrid's." Draco said. Harry got up and they 

ran down to his class they were actually late. " Hey Hagrid sorry we are late we got side tracked." 

Harry explained. Hagrid didn't care he waved them off and they went to work on their work for 

the day. " Alri'y then class dismissed." And they all turned in their papers and went to the next 

class. " So did you finish all of his work?" Draco asked Harry when they had gone up to 

Herbology. " Yea why do you need to copy?" Harry said reaching for his notes. " Not right this 

second but yes I do." Harry put them away and they went to class. Before they knew it they were 

in Potions with Snape. " Today you will follow the instructions on the board and at the end of 

class will tell me what you think the potion is. You may start." Snape instructed. They did as they 

were told it wasn't as hard to focus since he was teaching himself to not stare at Draco the entire 

time. At the end of class Snape came over to their table. " Mr.Potter, Mr.Malfoy. What do you 

believe the potion you have made is?" Snape said raising an eyebrow. " Well I believe that this 

particular potion is the potion of concentration. Better known as Coniunctis." Draco said hoping 

he would just walk away and not question how he got the answer given it wasn't in their books. 

" Very good Mr.Malfoy five points to Slytherin for good work." Snape said and walked away. They 

walked down to the common room and played wizard chess. " Knight to G3." And Harry's Knight 

destroyed Draco's pawn. " Pawn to G3." Draco said with a smirk. At this point they weren't even 

playing to win they were playing to get rid of all of their pawns before the other. " You little shit." 

Harry said smiling to himself. Draco laughed to himself. " Go it's your turn Harry." Draco said still 

smiling. " Pawn to F6." Harry said already knowing what he was going to do. " Knight to F10." 

Draco said taking Harry by surprise. " Pawn to F10." Harry said. " Harry how old are we?" Draco 

asked looking at him with a sigh. " Nineteen both almost twenty." Harry said. " One why are we 

playing wizards chess like we are five year olds, and two if we are almost twenty why are we still 

in school?" Harry laughed. " Yea you got a point there Draco. But it is still your turn go on. Or are 

you afraid that i'm going to beat you?" Draco took this as a challenge. " Your on Potter." He said 

jokingly. " Knight to A10." Draco said given it was closest to Harry's home base. It looked like 

Draco was going to win. " Erm. Pawn to G5." And this was Harry's downfall. " How do you always 

manage to beat me Kitten?" Draco shrugged. " I dunno I must be great at this game." Draco said 

and motioned for Harry to come over. Harry obeyed and went to sit on Draco's lap. " So how are 

you feeling Harry?" Draco asked playing with Harry's hair. " I'm fine. Why do you ask Sugar 

bunny?" Harry said confused. " No reason just seems like you've been distancing yourself this 

past week and I was worried about you." Draco responded and Harry was satisfied. " Mk well i'm 

going to go talk to everybody in the RoR you wanna come?" Harry said getting up. " Yea i'll go 

get the gryffindorks." Draco said getting up from his favorite armchair. " I'll get the rest." Harry 

made his way over to Pansy's dormitory and his own for Blaise. But when he got to Blaise he 

couldn't find him. " Pans do you know where Blaise could be?" Pansy popped her head from 

around the corner. " No. I thought he was in there." She said making her way into the boys 

dormitory. " O merlin you don't think he could have been taken by the death eater do you?" She 

said frantically. " I dunno but let's go find the others and tell them to be careful." He grabbed her 

hand and they raced up to the Gryffindor common room and ran into the others. " Draco! We 

think that Blaise has been taken by the death eater!" Harry said. " What?! We think Ginny has 

been taken from her bed we couldn't find her and they said they said that she had gone to bed!" 

They said both scared for their friends lives. " We have to go tell McGonagall." Harry said when 

they had calmed down some. They all ran into McGonagall's office. " Professor McGonagall. We 

have a suspicion of some people being taken by the death eater again." She got up and seen 

who they were and then she examined who they were missing out of their group. " So Mr.Zabini 

and Ms.Weasley have been taken?" They all nodded all of them still in shock. " Ok I will be sure 

to hold your exams you need to go find them immediately." McGonagall said in a feverent voice.
