**A/N: Mention of violence and sexual assault

My eyes flicked open and scanned across the candle-lit room. No sign of Venable.

Feeling relieved, the painful memories from earlier starts pouring into my throbbing head. As I slowly became more conscious, the burning sensation on my back grows as well and for some reason, my bottom hurts even more every time I try to move my legs on the damp bed sheet.

The more I tried not to think of the things that she might have done to me while I was unconscious, the more it forces its way into my head.

My body trembles violently as tears starts to form in my eyes and soon enough, I was a crying mess and sobbing uncontrollably into my pillow. Why me? What did I do to deserve this?

No one could have possibly experienced anything that could even come close to what I have experienced so far after being brought into this hell hole. It was inhuman, cruel. How can one have such a cold heart to do this to another being? Breaking another person, putting them through so much pain, brutally stripping their dignity off them, leaving them with nothing but a soulless body. She's sick with a mind that is so twisted. She's literally the incarnation of Satan himself that walks the Earth and feeds on people's fear.

How I wished I could stay unconscious and just...never wake up.

After God knows how long, I open my eyes once again, feeling the damp pillow against my cheek, after losing consciousness due to the exhaustion of crying. This time, something caught my attention that I failed to notice before. It was a tray with a plate consisting of a jelly-like cube, a jug of water with some glasses, some pills and a piece of paper.

I summoned all the remaining energy in my body to get myself off my bed but it wasn't enough, resulting in me landing on the solid, concrete floor with a loud thud. I groaned, slowly dragging myself towards the desk with both my sore arms.

I managed to stand myself up with the support of the chair and I took the piece of paper.

The cube contains all the nutrients your body needs, I also got you some painkillers to ease the pain. I'm really sorry about what happened Charlotte. Please stay strong.

Mallory. I didn't need to see her name at the bottom of the paper to know it's her.

Up till now, she's the only person who treats me like a human being.

I gobbled up the cube hungrily and took the pills. While waiting for the pills to come into effect, I took a quick glance at the clock on my nightstand. 3am.

As soon as the pain subsided, I grabbed my robe from the ground and threw the piece of paper into the fire before heading outside of my room to do some exploring.
