"April are you crazy he's in prison and you haven't seen him in years!" Jack argues.

"Well he might have a clue as to where my mother is." I say.

"And what if he doesn't?" He asks concern laced in his voice.

"Then we move on and go back to looking at what we already have" I explain.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jack asked as he stopped to look at me.

"Yes now will you stop worrying about me? We have more pressing matters right now like how we are going to be late for school if you don't pick up the pace." I laugh. He runs to catch up to me and we arrive at school just in time.

"So when are you going?" Jack questioned me as we started to walk home after school.

"Right now I already told aunt Lou that I had debate club after school." I tell him.

"But our school doesn't have a debate club... oh wait so you lied to your aunt so that you can go visit you father who's a criminal in prison?" Jack asks. I nod.

"Now your getting it." I say.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He asks with a seriousness in his tone.

"No you don't need to be apart of this. My father is not a nice man I just need to see what he knows about my mother." I state. "I'll see you tomorrow." I say as we turn to go separate ways.

"You have to tell me everything okay?" Jack shouts as we walk farther. I laugh and wave goodbye to him.

I'm waiting outside the fence surrounding a large brown building with lots of guards. I take in a deep breath and walk over to the visitor sign in area.

"Hello I'm April Stewart and I'm here to visit my father Mark Stewart." I state to the lady at the desk. She looks up at me through her purple rimmed glasses and nods turning back to her computer.

"To the left dear he will meet you there" the lady says as she picks up her phone. I hear her talking into it as I leave to the room she pointed me too. It's a cold grey room with glass in between tables. There is a phone on each side of the glass so that you can visit and talk. I sit down and wait for my dad to come out. A man walks into the room he has brown hair and a matching beard he sees me and sits down. I pick up the phone on my side.

"April is that you?" The man asks into the phone. I nod and pull out my notepad and pen.

"Hello dad I'm here to discuss moms disappearance. I believe she is still out there and I need you to tell me everything." I state to the older man. He sighs and starts to talk. Before long it was time for me to go home. "I have to go home now" I tell him.

"I'm sorry I wasn't much help. Say hello to your aunt for me." He says with a smile. I nod and walk out. How did he know I was staying with aunt Lou nobody in my family has had contact with him for 9 years. I wrote a note of that on my notepad and walked home.

"Where were you?" Aunt Lou asks in an angered tone.

"Sorry aunt Lou debate club took longer than we thought we got into a heated debate about pineapple on pizza." I lied.  She nodded and I went up to my room.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I would love to hear your thoughts on pineapple on pizza in the comments. I personally don't like pineapple in general so I stay away from pineapple pizza.
