(Casey)

Death was the thing that seemed to plague me since I was 6, and it has taken me a while to get used to it. I hated it at first, it used to be nothing but a black hole that stole away the very people you cared most about.

              Nowadays, however, it is a thing I have grown indifferent to... a thing that I am just used to, a feeling that is now ever slowly crawling towards me as it does with all living things. After all, anything that is breathing, or living, has to die at some point.

              It was just the natural order of things, of life itself.

              "Hey! Cassy!" I heard Ky's voice yelling from the distance, snapping me out of my daydreaming trance.

              "Oh, hey Ky, I assume you got done with your work early?" I said to her, referring to her fixing the broken tech.

              Kyra nods, smiling. "Want to go out into the city and get something?"

              "Um... maybe, I have to go ask my Master about that first"

              "Alright, tell me what her response is, and if we aren't able to go out into the city then maybe we can just hang out in our dorms"

              I smiled at that idea and nodded quickly before going to my Master to ask her if I could go into the city, or if she could take me.

~~~~~~~~~
              "Sure, you can go alone. However, you and Ky need to stick together and stay near the base alright? I heard there has been a lot more Red activity recently in the city, so be careful" My Master, Allison, told me.
              "Will do, and when do I ever get myself in trouble?" I asked her with a chuckle, and she chuckled back.
              "Oh, I can name several times"
              "Okay okay I get it I won't get into any trouble"
              Allison nodded as she used her cyberpathy to activate my phones location and connected it to her before I went. She always did this whenever I went into the city on my own, just to make sure she could find me if I ever got lost.
              "Bye I'll be back later!" I said once I got my things, and Allison waved bye.
              "Don't be out too late!" she yelled back.
              "Will do!"
              I went out of the dorms and met Kyra out by the courtyard, and we headed off to the city. I haven't been in the city for a while, and it would be nice to explore a little bit of it again.
              The city was always a place the interested me and considering my talents it made the most sense that I would fit in pretty well in the city. I am good with technology in so many ways, I know how to fight, and I can read people like a book without the crowds draining me too much.
              "So, where do you want to go?" I asked Ky, and they shrugged.
              "Maybe over there?" They said, pointing to a café.
              I nodded, walking over there with them to the café. I hadn't eaten yet today, so I was already pretty hungry.
              Our galaxy marks were covered up along with our weakened our radioactive auras we had to follow whenever we went out where humans were. This was in place for 2 major reasons, to keep out of trouble if enemy Supernaturals were around they would be able to sense it and it was a preventive measure on humanities part to keep normal people from getting sick.
              "Damn girl!" A male voice said from nearby, and I instinctively knew they were talking to Ky because they were dawning a black tank top and tan cargo shorts while I was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt with average-looking jean shorts.
              Kyra went wide-eyed at this as they looked back at the guys who catcalled them, their eyes a bit wide as they looked at them. All of them looked to be college kids, quite a few chuckling but some were silent and just watched. Innocent bystanders.
              "I'm not a girl..." Ky said coldly, and the guy just laughed.
              "Heh, your curves say otherwise sweetheart" he said with a smirk, and that face was enough to get Ky panicking due to being reminded of trauma.
              "Hey, knock it off you disgusting pervert" I said, walking up to the guy and he looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
              "Well well well another hottie. What are you gonna do, fight me? You don't look strong" he said, clearly oblivious to what he was messing with.
              I couldn't blame him though, Ky and I blended into the crowd well; maybe too well.
              My eyes glowed and all of their phones exploded in their hands, my galaxy mark showing as well. Once the guys saw this, they went wide-eyed, scared... as they should be.
              "Holy shit! Get away from us you freak!" the guy said, backing away. I just chuckled at his fear, finding it funny to scare people this easily.
              "Then stay away from my friend. Oh, they're also a Supernatural to, and they can kick your ass without a second thought. Don't mess with our kind, pathetic human" I said to them as they nodded and ran away.
              Once the guys were calm Ky started to calm down but was still in the middle of a panic attack. I knew why they reacted like that, and it was something they couldn't exactly control... after all, you can't control the past.
              I hate this... I hate this... they signed, and I sat next to them as we were now alone in a private area.
              "Need a hug?" I asked them, and they nodded.
              I gave Ky a hug and didn't do anything else as I waited for their episode to pass. They had scars; their past still haunted them. However, there isn't any way to change the past.
              The only thing we can do is accept it...
... and move on.
