Rushing into the grocery store, Jesse stood on her tippee toes trying to see through the spaces of all the bodies. It was kind of difficult considering she's only 5'4 in height. "Slow down, Jesse I can't keep up!" Her father trailed behind feeling out of breath following his worrisome daughter.
It seems all great writers carry something incase they strike an idea like this. "You guys have to get back! Get back!" All the officers on scene were not joking about people coming so close to where the body was found. Sirens and police car lights flashed through the windows of the store and everyone was crowded around like it was a Beyoncé concert but no one was cheering with excitement. By the way the front of the grocery store looked it seemed like it was a robbery gone wrong. One of the cashiers was shot and rushed to the hospital but the robber made it out somehow. A tragic turn of events, both ways.
"I don't know if this is a good idea, me leaving you here. It doesn't seem safe." She felt bad about leaving her father anyway and now he's having doubts. This isn't good. Jesse took the leap of faith and rushed through the crowd of civilians. She spotted an officer questioning a cashier about what she saw and where she was when it happened. This is her only shot to prove to father she will be able to stand on her own and make a living here . Taking out her phone, she pressed the record button and started quoting her favorite news channel as if she was the reporter. All she could see was the back of the officer but she knew exactly what to say. "Hi, Sheriff! This is Jesse Tomlin from the local newspaper I wanted to ask you some questions about today's robbery. Would you take a moment to speak with me?" The male officer swiftly turned around and all she could think was: how handsome he was he had beautiful brown eyes and short blonde-ish brown hair, soft baby face with a fit body to top it off. She felt a wave of heat brush through her body as she adjusted her brown curly hair and kept her phone close to pick up their conversation. He cocked his head to the side and smirked at the curious brunette and nodded his head.
