"I'm going on ahead and fill Inoichi about what's going on. Ino and Yoshihiro, I think it's best if you both come with me as well."

"But-"

"And Kakashi, bring her there when she's ready, okay?"

"Roger that, hokage-sama."

A few minutes have passed since the three left the room, leaving Kakashi and Akira alone together. No one has uttered a word. Kakashi remained in his spot while Akira continued to fidget her fingers as she stared at them. The atmosphere was definitely awkward. Both of them did not know what to say to each other, and Akira hated it. She hated the uncomfortable vibe that was going on between the two of them. So, in order to get rid of it, she decided to start the conversation.

"Uhm... Kakashi, right?" She lifts her gaze and finds him already looking at her. It startled her that she almost jumped from her seat but she, thankfully, stopped herself.

"Yes. Hatake Kakashi. You and I are former classmates." He answers.

"Oh." She utters. "Well, I just want to thank you. I don't know what's going on but, you saved me, right? You were the first person I saw when I woke up."

Kakashi puts his hands inside his pocket. "You could say that. My team and I went to get you." He replies. "And... it's no problem. You are a comrade, it's natural I go after you."

Okay... what now? What am I supposed to say after that? She almost laughs at herself for looking pathetic. She didn't think this through. Why was it so hard to start a conversation with him? The man had almost his entire face covered, but there was nothing scary about him. Akira was not intimidated by him at all. If that was the case, then why was she so nervous? Her hands were a bit shaky and her heart was racing. Maybe it was because she was alone with a guy she didn't know? The longer she looked at Kakashi's face, the more she realized he was actually quite attractive, even if he wore a mask. She could see it in his eyes and the shape of his face. It was sort of amusing how her mind was creating a vision of what he looked like as if she had seen it before already. Similar to what he was doing before, she hadn't noticed she was staring.

"I'm sorry." He said, almost in a whisper. Surprised, Akira is pulled from her thoughts. She looks at him with a questioning expression. "I don't know what to say to you. I feel responsible for the situation you're in right now."

"Situation?" She asked.

"Your amnesia." He replied in a serious tone, and Akira swore she heard slight sadness in it. "If I had only gotten to you sooner 6 years ago, then you wouldn't be like this."

"Kakashi," The said man meets her serious eyes. "Don't blame yourself. I'm here now, aren't I? It's because of you that I'm back." Akira says, then gives him a soft smile. "Don't regret what happened. We just have to move on."

For a moment, something had flickered inside Kakashi's head. It was like he remembered something from years ago. Ah, yes. Similar to what Akira had said just now was from one of the many statements of comfort she had said to Kakashi years back. The image of a young Akira, puffy wet eyes with a sad smile, had shown just right beside the older one in front of him. 'Kakashi... Rin-chan... Don't regret what happened to her, okay? Rin-chan protected us -- you protected us. For Rin-chan's sake, we have to continue living on.'

Remembering that moment, a smile had unconsciously crept on his covered lips. He sighs, then proceeds to show her an eye smile. "You're right."

"There you go." Her smile widens. "By the way, shouldn't we go follow the... the hokage?"
