Sorry I didn't update in the last month. I was working on my new story, which you can find here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/246255164-the-eve-of-decision   or by going to my profile. I will still be working on finishing this story as much as possible while working on the other.
I hope you read it!

Annabeth POV

Hermione and Ron had started fighting, and honestly, it reminded me of Percy and I. Of course, I had hated him because of prejudice against his father, and his annoying proclivity for being right, and dead lucky. It was obvious they liked each other, and were dodging the topic like the plague.

I was hanging out with Hermione. It wasn't as if I had to do well at school, it would have very little bearing on the life I planned on living, but I still studied and helped her. Harry had come with us too, bringing his Half-Blood Prince book with us too. I didn't mind it as much as Hermione did. I knew a fair amount about evil magic objects, but I trusted Hazel's opinion. It didn't feel evil to me.

I looked over at the group of girls giggling together and glancing over at Harry. They were the sort of girls everyone though I was when they saw my blonde hair. They were eyeing Harry off, a glance I had come to recognise well, as it was often directed at Percy.

"That's Romilda Vane, Harry, watch out for her, I heard her talking about slipping you a love potion."

"Why?"

Hermione looked concerned, and I felt ready to face plant into this desk. The similarity to Percy was uncanny.

"Because you're the chosen one, they want to date you. Just don't eat anything she gives you."

"Ok."

Harry finished up in the library, and I offered to go back to the common room with him. I hoped Percy would be there. Hermione decided to stay here.

"You ok Harry, you're on edge." He was glancing around the corridor and keeping an eye on everyone who passed us.

"Yeah... sort of. Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead."

He waited until a group of young Hufflepuffs had left before beginning.

"I think Malfoy is behind all of this, but all the proof is less than circumstantial. I've tried following him but I can't find out. I can't just give up though. I'm so sure he's involved. Percy said to gather evidence."

"Percy's answer is good, but I'm sure more than advice you want reassurance. Trust your gut, always."

"I don't know. Hermione and Ron ignore me if I address it."

"We all have our vices. There is every chance they just don't want to consider it. You are already suspicious of Malfoy, which means you are paying more attention to him by default, for better or worse."

Luna Lovegood interrupted our conversation by ambling down the corridor. Harry engaged in a conversation with her about her class. Luna's voice was sort of hypnotising in its strange quality. She always said the most random thing she could think of. It was probably relaxing to Harry, who was always being questioned, hated, or adored by people.

"Luna, will you go to Slughorn's party with me? As friends."

"Oh yes please. That's so nice of you. I'll look forward to it." Luna danced off around the corner.

Harry would be in for an interesting night.

Slughorn had also invited Percy, who had asked me to go with him. I was looking forward to it, because I was going to spend time at a party with him. We had never had the chance to attend school dances, as I'd run away, and Percy kept being thrown out.

Hazel helped me get ready for the party. I'd bought a dress at Hogsmeade, and Hermione had helped magically add decorations. I was wearing a necklace Percy had given me for my birthday a couple of years ago. I had no doubt Piper had helped him with that. I loved it no less for that possibility.

Percy was waiting with Harry down below. Hermione had already left to go find Cormac. I knew she was going to regret going out with him, but her dedication to getting revenge was quite astounding.

I grabbed Percy's arm, and we left through the portrait hole. Harry fiddled with his dress robes awkwardly.

"Not looking forward to this Harry."

"Not heaps. I'm looking forward to hearing Luna's take on everything though." He smiled as he looked up at us.

"You'll have entertainment all night."

Luna met up with us in the corridor and we went in. Slughorn greeted us, and then drifted away into the crowd. A figure ran through the crowd, catching Harry's eye. He let go of Luna's arm, and made to follow the figure.

"Where are you going Harry?"

"I saw Malfoy, hold on, I'll be back."

Harry weaved through the crowd, and disappeared from our vision, his eyes fixed on his enemy. Hermione took his place.

"How're you Hermione?"

"Horrible." She grimaced at us.

"Cormac?"

"I've managed to lose him, and I'm pretty close to hexing him." She twirled her wand menacingly. If I wasn't her friend I would be taking a step back. Being the best witch in the year, and probably the school, she had quite the reputation.

"Worth it to irritate Ron?"

"Always. There he is. Bye." She slipped back into the crowd and we waited for Harry to return. Luna entertained the three of us with her musings.

Harry finally re-emerged from the crowd. We had all found some butterbeer, and snacks, which we had almost finished when he returned.

"Find anything."

"He had a fight with Snape. It basically confirms my hypothesis."

"Nice."

"Yeah, do you have any more of that butterbeer?"

"Over there." Harry pointed at a side table.

After the part, we all made our way back to our dorms. We bid Luna goodbye, then went back to the Gryffindor rooms.
