ALLAIA AROSE FROM her sleep with a quiet whimper, a cold compress pressed on her forehead. The pounding against her temples hasn't ceased, the dull ache ramming onto her skull even bedighted on intensity. Alle was still feverish, the heat radiating from her hectic skin could be sensed from afar. Her muscles seemed to be made of cotton — numb, tied in a tight knot within weights as she was unable to move, chained to the agonizing pain.

Two boys stumbled into the drop ship, carrying someone. Particular someone with curly brown hair and a constellation of tiny freckles dusting on his features like stars gracing the skyline.

Bellamy. With stains of blood underneath his eyes.

"Bell? Oh no." Allaia gasped worriedly, sheer concern writhing her senses in an unendurable fright of his health condition.

"Clear some space!" Octavia commanded. "Lay him down."

Relying on residues of her strength, Allaia crawled forward, allowing Bellamy to take her spot on the mattress. He rolled onto his side, convulsing rapidly and vomiting an alarming amount of blood. His breathing instantly became rigid as he was unable to catch the slightest intake of air, his lungs devoid of oxygen, instead brimful with red liquid.

"Hey, big brother." Octavia breathed nervously, wiping his face with a fabric.

"Hi, O." Hi replied weakly. His lips were chapped and bloodied. "I'm scared."

Allaia gently gripped his hand, comfortingly rubbing soothing circles onto his skin. Bellamy's fatigued glimpse glimmering with vulnerability flickered to Allaia in gratitude.

"I won't let anything happen to you." Octavia assured shakily. "I promise."

"That's what I said to you the day you were born." Bellamy gazed at his sister lovingly, gasping heavily.

"I know. You told me that like thousand times." Octavia chuckled.

"I'm glad you're here, O." Bellamy admitted with crystal honesty.

Octavia nodded with a sincere smile. "Just get some rest now, okay?" She pleaded and quickly walked away.

Bellamy glanced at Allaia with uneasiness emanating from his glimpse. "Come here, sweetheart." He murmured, moving backwards so Allaia could lie down on the other half of the mattress.

"I told you not to touch me, moron." Allaia chastised frailly after lying on the soft pallet, facing him. Her tone was scolding, but the undertone of tenderness could be heard among it. "And now you're sick, idiot. Because of me."

"Are you really gonna call me names now?" Bellamy smiled faintly, caressing her cheek with tenderness. "Seems like I can't keep my hands off of you."

"How can you still be so fucking flirty?" Allaia asked incredulously.

"I guess I like teasing you too much." Bellamy smirked coquettishly.
