Third wheel

Chapter 10

Jodie answered the door grabbed me and gave me a big hug and invited me in. Once in John said "hi Emma let me show you our spare room where you can put your case for now".
I entered the spare room it was amazing I could see the whole city from the large bay window.

"Emma" I heard Jodie call on me "your foods here"  I was starving I couldn't wait to eat my dinner I closed the bedroom door and headed to the kitchen and joined Jodie and John at the table.

There was a bit of an awkward silence not sure why they both seemed so happy when I arrived so I decided to make some small talk with them both.

Jodie said "sorry Emma if this is going to upset you but for last couple of days what you said to us on the call has been playing heavily on our minds but I really need to know what is this decision? And why might we not be happy".

"Let me first say sorry I didn't mean to cause either of you upset but I had to be sure before I told you both my decision.
My decision is I do want to join you guys in a relationship but I have a few things I have to say and get off my chest.

Number one I don't want to give up my home for the simple fact I don't know you both that well yet but I am willing to spend most of my time here if you are both happy with that" they both replied at same time "yes".

"Number two I love my job and I have no intentions of leaving my work place as I also love the people I work with I do thank you both for the job offer and car but I have to decline without hurting any of your feelings"they both nodded in agreement.

"Number three I don't agree that my nights out and me having fun without you both should have to stop at the end of the day if you both can have enjoyment without me I don't see why I can't and if I decided to go home with someone else that would be my business but I do promise never to have anyone else back here so if you are both happy with everything I have just said then we have a happy agreement".

They both went a bit quiet then Jodie broke the silence "am happy with everything you said Emma am just slightly jealous that I have to share you with someone else other than John and if it's to be that that's what I need to agree with I would like to ask you that if you do sleep with someone else you use protection and you don't tell us about it."

"I can agree to that Jodie" I could tell I was hurting her feelings by the way she was speaking.

"Jodie can I make it clear to you that if I do go out it will be for enjoyment reason and I wouldn't be looking for someone as to be honest with you last weekend was amazing and I really don't need anyone else".

She smiled walked over to me and gave me a hug then sat down to finish eating our meal I then turned to John and asked if he was happy with everything we have spoken about he gave me a smile and wink and agreed he was ok with the decision but not totally happy but could live with my decisions.

We finished our meal and then Jodie asked if I would follow her to my room so I stood up and followed her she said "ok Emma please don't freak out but me and John went out shopping to make you feel a bit at home" "ok" I replied.

"Open the wardrobe" Jodie said this must have cost you a small fortune "if there's anything you don't like we left tags on so you can exchange them if you want" the wardrobe was full of brand new clothes and they where all for me "Jodie this is to much honestly but I do love them thank you".

"Go through the other door please" I went through it oh my god I had my own private on suite and beside the sink was all my favourite things from the soap shampoo right down to my favourite perfume "Jodie why you and John have really spoiled me" she smiled and said "that's cause your our girl now and we will take care of you".....
