Third wheel

Chapter 12

Next morning I woke up it was only me and Jodie in the bed where had John gone I got up very quietly and decided to head to my room for a shower when I got there John was lying fast asleep in my bed he opened his eyes I said "sorry I didn't mean to disturb you have you been here all night" he said "yes " after the shower he came in to the room to join us but me and Jodie where fast asleep and he didn't want to wake us so decided to head to my room "I hope you don't mind" he says "no not at all".

He got up out the bed and said he would leave me to get ready that he would go start breakfast "is bacon and eggs ok for you" "perfect thanks" I replied then he left the room.

I went in to my en suite and had a nice hot shower I was really enjoying my time at there place it wasn't just about the sex I actually really enjoyed there company to I was thinking I really have made the right decision.

I got ready to go join Jodie and John for breakfast they where both laughing and giggling in kitchen when I got in they really where the perfect couple so why did they want me who knows why but I had no objections.

"Morning" they both greeted me as I entered kitchen "morning" I said back with a smile John says with everything we spoken about last night he forgot to mention we where all going out for lunch that sounds good to me is it a casual dressed lunch yes that both replied "ok am looking forward to it".

We sat and eaten breakfast with some small talk. John and Jodie both asked if I was ok and still happy with my decision. I replied am more than happy and am very thankful to be apart of your home and life's they said and we feel the same way.

We headed out to lunch by taxi as John and Jodie said "they would like to enjoy a bottle of wine this afternoon". The taxi headed for a small Italian restaurant in the middle of town I had only ever been there once but the food was amazing I always meant to return.

The taxi pulled up outside the restaurant and we all got out and headed in to the place once in the front of house lady said "good afternoon Mr Jones let me show you to your table".

Once at table me and Jodie where sat talking about each other's outfits and how it would be nice to go on a shopping trip one time. "Yes sounds like a plan" I said and Jodie said "John was going on a business trip next weekend so we could do it then". "Sounds good to me we can met in town or something" at that point Jodie went quite like I said something wrong looked a it upset "what's wrong" I asked her.

John said "Jodie thought you would be staying over with her next weekend while I am away on business". "Oh I will stay over if you both want me to I just thought with our arrangement I was to only be there when both of you where at home".

John gave a little smirk "well I think we best scrapping the arrangement and take each day as it comes". "Am up for that" I replied.

The waiter approached the table and said "can I take your drinks order please" I was about to order myself a glass of red when John says "give me a bottle of your finest champagne and three glass please". "No problem sir" the waiter replied "are you ready to order your meals or do you need more time"  "give us another five minutes please".

Why champagne I thought did they have something to celebrate was it there anniversary or something so I decided to ask John "is it your anniversary or something that you ordered champagne" he said "no but hopefully this afternoon will turn in to a celebration" "oh ok" I replied still unaware of what was going on.

The waiter returned to our table with champagne and took our orders he was such a polite waiter.

Once waiter left table John said "we have something to ask you before we can open the champagne" and took a small ring box out his pocket and placed it on the table in front of me and said "we would really like your answer today".......
