Sora's Pov
"Riku?"
I bolted out the door and ran towards the clock tower in the center of Twilight Town.
I swear I saw you! I know I did!
I ran up the stairs of the clock tower, my mind getting cloudier and cloudier.
I know you are here.
I opened the doors and walked to the edge of the clock tower. I looked down to the rest of the town, my lungs screaming for air.
Where are you?
I heard the sound of a train and looked towards that direction. The wind began to blow harder as I did.
Sora...
I looked at the direction of the outskirts of Twilight Town. The wind blew through my hair making me shiver slightly
The Old Mansion!
I ran down the stairs of the clock tower and continued to run to run to the outskirts. I shoved a few people out of my way as I made my way towards the gate leading to the Forest.
You have to be here!
The gate to the forest was locked but that didn't stop me. I jumped over the gate and landed directly on feet. Without hesitation I continued to run through the forest, my pace only getting faster.
Sora...
Riku? Please be there.
I stopped in front of the gates of the Old Mansion.
Sora...
I looked past the gates of the Old Mansion. I saw a figure standing there with their back to me.
Riku?
I broke the gate and walked into the front yard.
Riku!
I ran up to him and grabbed his shoulder. The boy slowly turned to face me. "Riku please say it's you," I whispered as he turned.
It is...
I knew it was him as soon as my eyes laid sight on him. It was him. His long silver hair blew in his face as the wind howled. I touched his face, making sure I wasn't seeing things. He placed his hand on mine then pressed his lips against my palm.
"It's you..." I said holding back tears. I looked at the blindfold that was covering his eyes, reaching to take it off. I grabbed the blindfold and pulled it off Riku's face. The blindfold came down and blew to the floor.
As my celestial blue eyes meet his teal green eyes, I said through tears, "Hi...Riku." He smiled and pulled me close to him. "It's nice to see you again Sora," he said as he leaned into me. I smiled even more as he planted a kiss on my lips. I ran my fingers through his hair.
"I've missed you," I said quietly not wanting to ruin the beauty of this moment. "As have I," He said holding me tighter. "Riku I just wanted to say th-"
"No, Sora you have to listen to me," He said cutting me off, "You need to get out of here. If they see you they'll take you too." My smiled quickly turned into a frown. He kissed my hand and said, "I know you just got here and your happy to see me. I'm happy to see you too but, you have to go. I promise to talk to you later."
"What's going on? Are you ok?" I said looking at a few scares on his neck. He covered his neck more and said, "I'm fine but you and your brothers won't be if you stay." I grabbed his hand and put it on my face. "What's wrong Riku please tell me? Are you in trouble? Where were you when you....." I said trailing off. He grabbed my face.
"Sora I will explain later. Please, you have to leave," He begged. I bit my lip and looked down to the ground.
I don't want to leave you...
Hesitantly, I nodded. I hugged him tightly while more tears came down my face. I kissed him one last time before letting him go.
"Hurry," he said. I whipped my face and began to run towards the gate leading back to town. I looked back at Riku as I the distance between us grew wider. I saw him smile and turn back around.
Riku...
I looked ahead, tears threating to fall once more. Quickly, I began to pick up my pace. I made it to the gate and realized that it was locked. I stopped and looked at the wall for a moment.
How did I get...
I shook my head and stepped back slightly. I began to run and jumped on the wall, my feet stepping on in front of the other. I stopped at the top of the gate and looked down.
How did I...
I jumped down the gate, landing in my feet. As I stood up I looked at my hands. They didn't contain and scares or blisters.
But how did I do that. Even before I jumped over the gate without trying. And I broke the gate that fenced off the Old Mansion without struggling. Even the pace I was running at wasn't a human one. And now I ran up the wall...how did I do that? That's not even humanly possible....
"Sora!"
I looked up at my two brothers who were running towards me. Roxas came up to me a grabbed my shoulders. "What the hell got into you?" Roxas asked making me look him in the eye. I stared at him for a moment, thinking of what to say.
"I don't...I thought...um..." I said biting my lip. What do I say? That I went to go chase after Riku who's been gone for almost a year? The same Riku the police claimed to be dead after finding a lot of his blood in his house? The same Riku that-
"Sora answer me!" Roxas said his patience beginning to fade. I bit my lip harder and began to break down. "I saw him!" I said between tears. I covered my mouth and put my head in Roxas's chest. Roxas, clearly surprised by the sudden break down, stepped back a little.
"I swear! I'm not lying Roxas I saw him!" I yelled sobbing in his shirt. He stroked my back softly, trying to get me to relax. It wasn't helping though it only made me cry even more. Ventus then came over to pat my head.
"We should take him home," I heard him say. I then fell to the floor, hugging myself tightly. I shut my eyes and began to scream loudly. The more I screamed the more tears came down my face.
I'm not crazy! I haven't lost my mind! I know that was him the real him! I know-
"In you and I there's a new land~"
I felt someone hug me. Someone who felt like an angel.
"Angels in flight~"
I looked up to see Xion who put my face in her chest. She looked at me and smiled.
"Wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I."
I hugged her tightly letting my body relax, her voice slowly comforting me.
"My Sanctuary, My Sanctuary yeah~"
My body suddenly became limp and all I could hear was her voice.
"Where fears and lies melt away~..."
Riku used to sing this to me...
"Music will tie~"
I felt my eyes become heavy and I could suddenly think of nothing at all.
