Dysfunctional families and bullying which are the typical problems in any fanfiction wasn't a problem for our main characters. They had loving families, great teachers and amazing friends. That means that instead of any external excuses, they ruined their own relationship with their insecurities.

Heeseung was annoying. He had a habit of irritating people that he wanted to get close to but didn't even know it. Yes, he was that much of an idiot. He never took his playful teasing too far and even though it drove the people around him mad, it was all in good taste. He had a prejudice against long distance relationships. It maybe because of his own experience with his parents. Constant arguments and doubting. Their love was long lost but they decided to stay together for his sake. The spark was just gone. Sometimes, it happens. Lucky for him, they were still the best of friends. But that led him to never enter into any kind of serious relationship in fear of knowingly or unknowingly becoming his parents.

Sihyeon was short tempered and witty. She was a diligent student and pretty popular too. She helped her fellow classmates and never let her popularity cloud her humility. She had tons of friends, a good rapport with all her teachers, a supportive family and a kinda, sorta frenemy? Although her life may seem pretty perfect and full of unicorns and chocolate, she had insecurities too. She never had any kind of serious relationships because she was ready to give her all to the relationship but the people she was with, weren't. And that led her to become doubtful and cautious, and most importantly, unreasonable at times.

Both started out as ambitious 18 year olds navigating their relationship through all its ups and downs. Will they reach complete commitment? Or will they bid adieu as soon as things get tough?
