Lee Heeseung POV

*Did she just say opposites attract? Maybe she's been feeling weird these days too. Don't think too much of it.* I thought, as we pulled up to her house.

"Welcome to mi casa!", she said getting out of the car almost stumbling into the bushes. "Careful, will you! Also great place!", I said holding her arm up. "Thanks. Before we go in though, my family can be a little much. So don't get scared okay?", she said. "Why would I be scared? Let's go.", I said proudly but visibly frightened by her comment.

*I was worried. I don't know why. What if they don't like me? What if they misunderstand me? Is her father at home? Will he shout at me? Thousands of these questions were running through my mind. I don't know why I am nervous nor what difference will it make if I don't make a good impression.

Lost in these thoughts, she knocked on the door and a tall figure in a three-piece suit opened it, I'm guessing her father. "Finally you're home! Mom finished cooking like an hour ago!", her father said.
"I'm sorry! I got held up at the library because we have a project due and then I sprained my ankle.", she defended. "Okay, fine. Next time, call us and inform. And who do we have here?", her father said raising an eyebrow at me. "Hello Mr. Park. I'm Lee Heeseung, her project partner and friend.", I said bowing at a complete 90 angle to mask my blushing face. "Hello, Lee Heeseung, our Sihyeon's FRIEND.", he chuckled emphasizing on the word friend.

"He's more like a, how'd you say, a frenemy?", she said glaring at her father. "Come inside then Heeseung.", he asked me. "No no it's fine Mr. Park, I'll get going.", I said smiling. "Then at least let me give you something for your troubles. You're a really good person to drop her home and take care of her. I mean she complains about you a lot, but seeing you, I'd rather say, I'm happy you're her friend, I'm sorry, frenemy.", he smiled. "Dad, stop making him awkward!", she hit his shoulder after looking at my red, red face.

"Wait a minute.", her father said as he went inside presumably to get me something. "Here, for dropping her home.", he smiled handing me some chocolates. "Dad, he's not a kid! I'm really sorry.", she glared at her father and whispered to me.
"Hey, it's fine! I accept any and all food I can get!", I laughed. "I like this guy!", her father said approvingly making my already pink cheeks even redder. "I'll take your leave, Sir. Bye Sihyeon!", I waved at them.

Making my way to the car, I didn't even notice the smile of satisfaction on my face. Looking at myself in the rear view mirror showing my pearly whites, I muttered, "He likes me". I sat in the car and started the engine.(*Engene omg😂*)

"What's wrong with you, McQueen?", I exclaimed putting the keys in the ignition over and over again.
"Start! Come on! Don't do this to me!", I whined.
"What happened Heeseung?", Mr. Park asked seeing me struggling. "Nothing, Sir. The car's just having a little bit of problem starting.", I told him. "Look, do one thing. It's late and your parents are probably waiting for you. Leave the car here and I'll check it out in the morning. I'll drop you off right now. Also, stop calling me Sir.", he said. "I wouldn't want to trouble you, Sir, I mean, Mr. Park.", I said rubbing the nape of my neck. "Not a problem. Least I can do to thank you. Let's go.", he remarked.

I was very, very nervous. Fidgety, hands trembling and constantly gritting my teeth. Every once in a while I glanced at her Dad, who btw, looked very cool driving a Mercedes. The 7 minute ride felt like eternity. "Could you stop being so anxious! I'm not going to eat you.", he chuckled at my behavior. "Haha. Okay.", I said, but actually it made no difference whatsoever.

We arrived and I invited him in for a cup of coffee. Declining my request, he agreed to a glass of water only. I rang the doorbell and my Dad opened the door. "Hello. Who might you be?", Dad asked Mr. Park. "I'm Sihyeon's Dad. Nice to meet you, Mr. Lee. Heeseung's car wasn't starting on the way back so I dropped him off. I'll bring the car here after checking it out in the morning.", Mr. Park said.

"How kind of you! Call me Hyunsuk. Please come in, Mr. Park.", Dad smiled. "Call me Minho. And I wouldn't want to intrude. Furthermore it's late.", Mr. Park said. "Then we should definitely meet again if not now. Let's plan for a dinner. What do you say?", Dad asked. "Why not! Absolutely.", Mr. Park laughed.

*I widened my eyes at this whole conversation. A family dinner. Why is this progressing so much in a day? Like we were annoying classmates yesterday and we're practically family friends now. Although, I'm strangely happy. Weird, huh?*

"Did you drop off Sihyeon safely?", my mom asked.
"Yes, Mom. I drove at 20 km/hr.", I said rolling my eyes. "Don't be sarcastic. I'll not talk to you if something happens to that lovely girl.", Mom said pouting. "I'm YOUR son, Mom.", I laughed. "Yes, you are.", she said ruffling my hair. *I can't wait for the dinner. I like being around her. I like to make her laugh. I like it when she looks annoyed. Does it mean I like her?* Remembering my conversation with Sihyeon, I sat on my bed, unlocked my phone and sent a text to my bros.
