Justin’s point of view
“Dude I really need to know her name.” I tell Jacob who is now lighting his third cigarette in our room. “And if you smoke one more cigarette, the smoke alarm is going to go off and I’m not taking the fall for that fucking thing again.”
“Why do you want to know her name so bad?” he says taking a puff out of his cigarette. “She’s the same chick from the other day isn’t she?” I nod at him while taking a sip out of my cup.
“Look that day when I let her inside the dorm she didn’t give me her fucking name and I really want to know her name. I don’t know whatever you say or think, just get me her name. She might have a roommate or probably a locker registered under her name or something. You’ve been here for two years, I’m a freshman you have a better chance at getting her name than I do man” I tell him shuffling the cup from one hand to the other hand.
“Are you into her or something?” Jacob asks me looking at me suspiciously.
“No. I want to mess around with her; she looks like a bitch to me who deserves some treatment.” I smirk at him.
He stands up from his bed and gives me a fist bump. “You’ve got taste, I’ll get you her name by tomorrow” he says and exits the room.

Aurelia’s point of view
Classes start tomorrow. So like every other university student rushes to get everything in place for tomorrow, I too am stuck in a huge queue waiting for my ID picture to be clicked. It’s kinda hard to get access to dorms without an ID. Luckily for me I’ve had someone or the other open the doors for me up till now but if I have to deal with not having an ID card one more day longer, I’d go crazy!
After waiting for about 20 minutes I finally reach the beginning of the line. A guy who is probably a student here wearing black rimmed Rayban glasses and has gelled up hair is in charge of taking the photos and printing the ID. His name tag reads ‘Jacob James, here to help you’.
Everyone really dresses up for these things and I look like crap in front of them. I just wore my normal black shirt and paired them with some boyfriend jeans and converse. My hair is washed and left open.
“Next” he looks at me and gestures for me to sit down in front of him. “Don’t cover your ears and if you want to show your teeth or something you can, lol” he finishes saying and I tuck my hair behind my ears.
He clicks the photo three times and turns the laptop towards me for me to select one of the three.
“This one” I choose the middle one.
“What’s your name?” he asks me and I don’t know whether it’s for the ID or for himself. “It’s for the ID” he says as if reading my thoughts.
“Aurelia Evans” I say and laugh a little at how stupid I really am.
“Woah, that’s a pretty name.” he says and gives me a toothy smile and I return the same.
“What subjects have you taken for your first semester?” he makes small talk till the time the ID gets printed.
“Psychology, Maths, Statistics and English” I tell him and he nods, waiting for the ID to print.
“There you go” he says handing me the ID and I stand up adjusting my shirt behind me.
“Thank you” I say and walk towards the main exit.
As I walk the passageway to enter the ground, I decide I’d rather sit in the sun for a while and enjoy the little breeze that’s there than go to closed room where I spend most of my time. I remove my phone from my pocket, connect my headphones and listen to music while enjoying the view in front of me.
It's not much of a view than just students moving here and there but still I’d rather see some real faces than the virtual faces of the six friends on my laptop.
Justin walks through the passageway and makes his way inside the main building and I just hope he didn’t see me because the last thing I want is for him to be burning holes into me all over again. It's just very awkward. There’s something about him I don’t understand, why does he keep staring at me?
Not even a few minutes pass, he exits the main building and walks the passageway again.
“Oh good heavens” I curse under my breath and pretend to be doing something on my phone.
I look around to see if any benches are empty but I don’t see any that are which means he’s not going to be sitting anywhere close to me to be burning holes into me and that’s a good thing. I look to see that he’s inching closer to where I’m sitting and I turn the volume up a notch so that ‘In the end by Linkin Park’ booms in my ears.
I know he’s standing right next to me but I really don’t want him to talk to me so I don’t look up from my phone. In an instant moment, Justin pulls the headphones out of my ears with both his hands on my face. I immediately look up as reflex to his touch.
“What the hell” I say loud enough for the people on the other side to hear.
“I said, is it okay if I sit here?” he says pointing to the empty space next to me.
I nod a yes and he takes a seat right next to me, his bare skin touching mine and I immediately get up. He looks at me and I smile at him and leave for the dorms.
It’s ironic how a few days ago I never got a seat and I oblige today to offer him my seat.
Justin’s Point of View
I make my way out of the ground and into the passageway to head towards the main building. The phone in my hand shows a text from Jacob which I read for the third time.
‘Aurelia Evans. Psychology, Maths, English and Statistics for first semester here.’ It says and I could feel the end of my lips touching my ears.
As I inch closer to the main building, I see Aurelia sitting on one of the benches there. She is wearing a black t-shirt which reveals her curves so beautifully. Her hair, a shade of brown shines under the sun and compliments her bare face. I walk past her, pretending that I didn’t see her.
I enter the main building and Jacob is asking some freshman to select a picture. I walk towards him and shake his hand, “Thanks man that was quick.”
When I exit the main entrance, Aurelia is still sitting in the same spot. She looks up at me and says something under her breath.
‘Fuck, I notice a lot’ I think to myself.
All the benches seem to be full and I move closer to her bench so that I could sit with her and start a conversation probably.
“Do you mind if I sit here” I ask her and she doesn’t budge. Her music is so God damn loud that I can hear Linkin Park singing ‘In the end’ when I'm standing also.
“Umm okay” I say and move both my hands to either side of her face to remove her headphones. Her skin feels soft against my hands.
She immediately looks up and screams, “What the hell”
‘Daamn’ my head says to me and I fight off the urge to smile.
“I said, is it okay if I sit here?” I say to her and she nods a yes.
I sit down so close to her that I can feel her bare skin against mine. She instantly gets up, smiles at me and makes her way towards the ground, probably towards her dorm.
‘Don’t know what that was, don’t care’ I say to myself and light up a cigarette.
