Y/n

~Y/n

~ 2 Weeks later ~

Collecting my books and messily stuffing them into my rucksack, I left the potions classroom, I was one of the last ones, and the halls only had stragglers left.

Trudging down to my D.A.D.A class, which I dread, my partner just happened to be who was avoiding me.

Remus fucking Lupin. He's managed to stay away completely in the past two weeks, eventhough we have 3 classes together, we have the same close friend groups, we sit near each other at the Gryffindor table, not attending our weekly Friday parties, and to top it off my closest friend is James Potter.

"tks tks tsk, Y/n/n, you know what day it is?" James Potter himself, slung his arm over my shoulders.

"Uh, Thursday?" I groaned, as he tugged me into the D.A.D.A room.

"Not just Thursday, Y/n/n, and it's prank day!" James clapped his hands excitedly together, "Come on Y/n it'll be fun, Sirius, annnnd Remus will be there!"

"If you haven't noticed James, Remus hasn't been exactly 'Talking' to me." I finger quoted in the air.

"Huh, yea, I've noticed that." James started to mumble at the end of his sentence, obviously thinking about something.

I took my seat next to Remus, as I had for the past two weeks. When Remus and I first got together, he was the shyest guy you'd ever meet. To be fair I was the same way, we sat next to each other in potions all first year, and not a single word was exchanged.

After we started dated, and eventually started cuddling, he'd lay under a blanket while he read a book, or he laid on my chest as I read him one. Remus clung to me like a static cling, always touching or hugging me in some way shape or form.

But in the past two weeks, He's said Four words to me. Four:

"Love you too, Y/n"

Before he was whisked away by Sirius. Sirius? I suddenly was aware of the conversation going on behind me.

"Rem, want to just skip class?" Sirius blatantly asked Remus.

Rem? You've got to be fuckin' joking me.

"No pads, this is an important lesson."

I peeked out of the corner of my eye, to see Remus stroking Sirius' fingers.

What. The. Fuck.

I suddenly pushed the stool out, causing it to screech loudly against the floor. I walked up to my professor at the front of the classroom.

"Mrs. Lovelace, may I please go to Madam Pomfrey, I'm not feeling very well."

I looked up to my professor, her eyes softened.

"Oh course my flower, feel better." Her voice was lowered.

"Thank you so much, I'll see you tomorrow Mrs. Lovelace."

I picked my rucksack up from the top of my desk and walked out of the classroom, towards the medical ward.

Please don't cry, Please don't cry, Please don't cry, Please don't cry, Please don't cry.

Begging? Begging myself not to cry? What have I come to?

They're probably just talking about all of the girls they've roped in over the summer.

Phantom pains ghosted across some of my old scars, they always ached when I was sad or in distress. Stray tears made their way down my face as I made my trench to the Madam Pomfrey.

Knocking on the edge of the grand oak door, I altered the nurse of my presence.

"Ah, Mrs. Y/l/n, would you like your usual?" The small graying-blonde woman smiled at me. Her usual twinkly eyes shining bright amidst her white uniform.

"Yes, please Madam Pomfrey, and I have a question," I perched on an edge of a bed, running

"Yes, Mrs. Y/l/n?' Madam Pomfrey made her way over with a kettle and tea.

"Sometimes when I get really emotional or stressed, my scars hurt or ache, is that normal?" My voice shook.

"Well phantom pains are normal," She put the tea tray down and started to pour her magical tea to ease the ache in my bones. "However if they ever become unbearable, please don't hesitate to tell me."

"I won't hesitate, thank you Madam Pomfrey."

She finished mixing the tea and set the warm cup in front of me, smiling sweetly, soft smile wrinkles forming around her eyes. Though she patted my shoulder and whisked off to tend to other patients in the ward.

I brought the warm liquid to my lips. The strong scent of lavender touched my nose, a familiar scent. Taking a deep breath I allowed the liquid to slip past my lips.

The burn of the tea wasn't from the temperature, but of the magical contents diffused from the tea. The sensation was worse than chugging fire whisky, but after a few seconds I could feel the pain relieve from my joints.

It no longer felt as if my bones were crushing together and elongating. I took a deep sign, my ribs no longer puncturing my lungs.

I still can't believe my potion worked.

I grabbed the two portions of tea that Madam Pomfrey left out for me to take for the night. I dug through the front of my Rucksack and pulled out a small sack of home baked sugar cookies. Then placed a thank you note on top of the gift.

I slid off of the bed and practically floated through the halls, the pain in my body was seeming gone, and I made my way back to my dorm.

Greeting my Kitties at the door, then went to lay down, but I was swept into sleep before I could even get under my quilt.
