Chapter 12

I walked over and sat on my bed and let out a big breath. I don’t know what just happened. It was something in her eyes. A little sparkle that told me that she was happy here. Happy with me. Everything else, I didn’t even know what was happening. My hand touched her jaw like it was natural. And she didn’t seem to mind.

I don’t know if I even want to go on this date anymore. I don’t even know if I like Amber in that way or not. I’m so confused.

I sighed again and put my clothes on. My black jeans had a few rips in them; they weren’t too bad, enough to be dressy. The white top hung loosely off my shoulders and down to about half way passed my bottom.

I walked out of my room to see Amber sitting in front of my door, cross legged and holding her head in her palms. ‘Do I look sexxxayy?’ I said waiting for her to hold her head up. She slowly raised her head up, eyeing my body off on the way up ‘Yep, but one thing Reece…’ Amber said while trying to contain her laughter. ‘What is it?’ I said worried. Did I look funny? ‘..Your... fly’s undone...’ She said, and soon after that she laughed.

That was the first time I’d actually seen her laugh that hard. She looked so happy and like she’s forgotten her troubles. She wiped a tear away from under her eye ‘Have a good time tonight yeah?’ she said getting up off of the ground and giving me a tight hug. ‘Yeah, just for you’ I whispered in her ear

I was just about to head out into the lounge room, to socialize with my family and get  a guaranteed lecture from mum about how to treat a girl correctly, when Amber grabbed my arm.

‘Um, Reece?’ She sounded so insecure. I turned my body around ‘Yeah?’ I said softly. ‘um, follow me for a second’ I looked at her puzzled as she walked to the room she was staying in. I slowly walked behind her, stopping at the door as she went threw her bag, talking to herself.

‘I, um don’t know what ones you use... so’ Amber said, while taking out a big white plastic bag on spilling all its contents on the bed. I slowly walked over when I saw about 15 boxes of condoms spread out along it. Latex free, ones with studs, glow in the dark. The list went on.

I looked at her shocked. ‘I don’t want you catching an S.T.I... ‘ she said while looking down at the floor and fiddling with her hands in her pockets ‘Now take your pick.’ I let out a laugh, while she was standing there in all seriousness. ‘Well?’ she said, looking at me with her arms crossed. ‘I already have a few in my wallet’ I laughed. Her face dropped even more.

‘Good to see you’re safe’ Amber said, with her voice cracking. ‘But I’ll take a glow in the dark one, I wanna blow it up like a balloon in a dark room, that’d be fun, wouldn’t it?’ I said, hoping to crack a smile from her. ‘Yeah, it would be’ She said, lifting her head up ‘Lets do that when I come home?’ I said, giving her something to look forward to in her loneliness ‘Yeah’ she said laughing a little.

I stood outside the restaurant, looking at the time on my phone practically every 2 minutes. I then got a text from Olivia that read:

‘Hey baby, others dropped out so it’s just you and me babe ;) I’ll be there soon, xoxo’

Oh god, we’re going to be alone? For at least 3 hours? Aw shit. I stood at the entrance, waiting for Olivia to show up, when a black BMW rolled up. The tinted windows slowly rolled down and I saw Olivia.

I watched as she stepped out of the $43,000 dollar car. Her short peach dress swung around her thighs and hugged her stomach. Her boobs stood out the most, looking big and round. Her brown eyes stood out like anything, with the smoky eye shadow effect and extra long eye lashes. Her lips were coated in a strong lip gloss, matching the colour of her dress. Her dark blond hair was curled into nice, loose locks.
