Please, whatever god exists, let this just turn out okay.

If I remember things correctly, the true ability of Luna's Nightblood has been discovered by Abby, Jackson, and Clarke. Namely, the ability to filter out radiation with a bit of delay.

What I woke up to this morning was Jasper nudging me. He smiles giddily, and before I can ask, he tells me, "We're gonna be playing a prank on Jaha, you in?"

Laughing tiredly, I manage to nod. "You know it. Let's do this."

The prank primarily composes of us dragging the sleeping ex-chancellor from his room, and then carrying him to the lake. We set it down gently, and give it the tiniest push, watching him spiral away into the water. We'd given him a rope so he could pull himself back, out of mercy.

Each of us; Jasper, Monty, Shawn, and me, start giggling the moment he floats away. We push one another, shushing eachother until he's gotten far enough away for us to laugh.

With the waiting game now in play, we hurry back up the hill, getting one of our two meals for breakfast. Even when rationed, our food has smaller portions, barely enough to take the edge off of my hunger.

We all sit down together, eating and watching the sleeping man. By the time the sun has topped over the mountains, he wakes up with a gasp, looking around in confusion.

Jasper stands, grinning wide. "He's awake!" He calls out to the others, and they hurry over to watch, laughing. "Hey Jaha," my boyfriend shouts to him, hooking one of his gangly arms around my waist smoothly. "Looks like you got floated!"

More laughter breaks out, taunting Thelonius from afar. He laughs along, trying to shake off embarrassment. People begin to clap, laughing harder when Jaha yells back with mirth, "Keeping yourselves busy, eh, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan?"

Now the laughter is aimed at us, but we joke it off as well, enjoying the goodnatured fun.

"Oh, yeah, we're really living it up every day!" Jasper snorts, shaking his head a little bit.

"Do I want to know how you two managed to do this without waking me up?" Jaha raises an eyebrow, sitting up on the mattress.

"No, probably not. But the effects are harmless, I promise. Kind of," he teases, and I smack his chest jokingly, rolling my eyes.

"You just slept like a baby, it was easy, chancellor," I add on, making the man laugh, Jasper giggling beside me. Jaha begins pulling the rope, bringing himself back to the shore.

"Alright, we've had our fun," Clarke chides, and I release an exaggerated sigh, but smile all the same. "Let's get back to work."

Shrugging to Jasper, I stand on my toes and give him a short kiss. Or, it was at least intended to be, as with no warning, he twirls me, turning it into a dip kiss in a very swift movement that causes me to inhale sharply.

Whistles ring out, and I can feel my cheeks redden as he brings me back up. "Now," he chirps, grinning. "I can work." He gives me a quick peck, then goes off on his merry way, leaving me standing there stunned.
