Will They Get Me?

Waking up

Sara's POV

It's all pitch black and I couldn't hear, feel or see anything. Then I wake up not knowing what happened, all I feel is the pain in my ankle. My head starts to hurt intensely, why was I feeling so much physical pain

I see trees and it is bright, then I see a bit of smoke behind me. I look back and it's like somebody is cooking, I tried to remember what happened but the pain is too strong. It's starting to block all my thoughts. Like I'm not the one in charge anymore. I sit down with my back on a tree, and look at my left ankle it is bleeding but not a lot. I touch my ankle and I just want to scream but I hold it in. It is for sure broken.

''Sara! Your awake. ''said Maggie

I don't know who said that, but it was somebody behind me. Then I realize it was Maggie. I don't recall finding Maggie all I remember is being with Nicole.

''Where are we?'' I ask while putting my hand on my head to see if the aching stops.

''We are in the forest. I tried to look around for Nicole but I can't find her.'' Maggie said worried.

''Where did she go?'' I ask again.

''She ran of to find the person that screamed. Daryl left to get some supplies, so Nicole and him could go and get Carl. I'm worried I fear Nicole is in trouble.'' said Maggie.

''Oh okay. Don't worry I'm sure she's fine. So your whole family is here?" I asked.

Then I remember everything. Me and Nicole were walking in the forest, and then Daryl shot me in the ankle. Maggie comes and brings me some hot soup. It was delicious, then me and Maggie hear gun shots.

I look over at Maggie worried on what might have happened.

''Daryl.'' Maggie whispers, eyes growing wide.
