"Oh no, there's no way I'm going-"
"Oh YES YOU ARE." Daisy fought back, trying to pull me off the door frame I was currently latched onto. Un-lucky for me, she's stronger than she looks.
"But I don't want to go." I sighed.
"Yeah I get it Stella but your scared and that's not going to resolve anything. At least pretend to enjoy yourself okay?" She groaned, wanting to make me promise but knew she was getting nowhere.
I know Daisy honestly does try and I love her for that, in the time I haven't seen any of my friends I've almost forgotten why Matt and I were so angry with each other but that doesn't mean I'm going to let him off easy.
.
"Oh grow up Matt." I huffed, staring ahead into the rain.
"You never really grow up, you just learn how to act in public." He stuck his tongue out at me, thinking he had just preformed the best comeback ever but he hasn't witnessed anything yet.
"Well then you haven't learned anything." I shot back but I started laughing at the end.
What did I telll you? I'm great.
"Yeah I guess not but you should've seem the face of that guy when I said we were married. He asked me if I was sure you hadn't divorced me without me knowing because he thought you were going to kill me." He shrugged.
"Who does that though, honestly?"
"I do!" Alex's head popped up from the backseat of Matt's car.
"WHAT THE-" Matt looked terrified as Alex just sat calmly.
I was just about to strangle him but the look on Matt's face made up for it and the fact that Alex was just sitting their like he almost didn't kill us while eating a container of yogurt.
"Matt eyes on the road, you just narrowly missed that pigeon." Alex started to point but ended up throwing his spoon at Matt's head.
"Whoops, my bad." I high-fived Alex as we started laughing at the dazed pigeon walking around in the road like it was debating if it had gotten hit of just barely was missed. (Trust me, you'd have to be there and you'd also have to not be the one driving the car because Matt looked pissed off.)
"Alex would you like to explain why your in my car?" Matt said through his teeth.
"Oh yeah I couldn't' find any good drama to watch on TV so I'd figured I'd get a better show watching you two try to go on a date. I'm actually quite disappointed at the moment." He frowned, probably debating if he was wasting his time and should jump out off the car right now.
"No shame Alex, no shame." It's true though.
"Okay then if you really want to, Stella and I are still going on our 'date' and you can sit alone like always in the corner drinking margaritas. Deal?" Matt shook his head and I was back to wishing I hadn't agreed to this but the only way Daisy would get off my back is if I agreed to this.
"Pity I could've brought Miles and we could've had a double date." Alex said sarcastically, looking bored out the window. I'm honestly betting on the fact that he would've brought Miles anywhere on a 'date' just to fake everyone out. It's happened before. . . and it's not pretty.
It usually ends with Miles and Alex fake breaking up, causing a scene, and us being removed from every nice restaurant we ever go to.
.
Sure enough, reporters/basically every person on the planet was waiting outside trying to get a glimpse of Matt.
And I don't blame them.
Maybe I should just make him spend the next two hours signing every single person out here's stuff and we can skip the cursed date thing. Good plan, Stella.
"Hi Matt." People started pushing towards him.
He waved blushing.
"Matt where's Ashley? Are you cheating on here?" Matt stiffened at once, trying to pull me away as fast as possible.
.
"Matt, who's Ashley?"
"Umm. . . that's the thing." He scratched his neck nervously like his shirt was suffocating him. "I might already have a girlfriend."
"Take me home, NOW." I hissed, pulling him the other direction as the fear washed over me again.
At what point does he ever stop. Apparently never.
"Stella I'm sorry." He tried to plead with me.
"I'm sorry too Matt but I guess some people never change." I glared at him, walking as fast as possible back to the car. Looks like nothing ever works out for me. I tried not to cry as Alex looked at me, concerned but I guess he knew that Matt would screw up one way or another.
.
