9 - C H A T

      
       "there is nothing to explain"

I grunted, my head ached painfully, yesterday was such a mist. Tom was next to me, hunching in a chair, and sipping a small cup of cofee. His eyes glared directly at me.

"took you long enough to wake up." He grumbled. By the looks of it, I was inside the Slytherin common room alone with him. My thoughts jumped to last night. I couldn't hold it any longer, I burst into tears.

Tom stared at the girl who was maliciously sobbing. He examined her, imagining about what to do. He didn't know how to act, it's not an everyday job to calm down a girl crying. So there, he  was still sitting down sipping his coffee watching y/n cry. He didn't really care, as long as she was safe. He needs the money. Riddle never wanted to tell anyone why, it's an important reason.

"Calm down already, everyone is going to hear you." Tom told her with no expression. Y/n swallowed the heavy lump in her throat. "h-how could he do this? cedric. He cheated on me with no mercy, not even a single guilt in his mind I bet! He allowed her touch him everywhere and he didn't even mind, I can't-" Her voice cracking.

Tom got annoyed at this point.
"just to make it clear, I am not your friend. Just rant to that ginger buddy of yours or something. You can leave now." Tom hollered. Y/n was still in her outfit from yesterday, her makeup being gushed all over her face from crying. She got off the bed. Tom gave her one of his robes because it would be humiliating walking around like that on a school day. Before y/n left she opened her lips. "Why did you bring me here?" She breathed.

"It's my job." He hissed back. She scoffed and sped away. Y/n really was a fool to think even for a second he did that with the kindness of his heart, but no, he protected her because he is forced yo. She didn't appreciate him.

"Oh my god! what happened to you?" Ginny shoutout at me, running in for a hug. She saw that i've been crying. I didn't let go of the hug, I wanted to be comforted.

After a while I told her everything, and she seemed like she was about to run to Cedric and hex him, I told Ginny that I'd just talk to him myself. "fine but if he tries to-" She spoke.

"Ginny" I holler. "It's fine. I've got this." I huffed and got my belongings and went out to have a little chat with Diggory.

Chat.

My eyes reached him, I ran towards his direction.

" Hey y/n how-" Cedric was about to talk to me but I stopped him by throwing a punch at his face.

"What was that for!"
He yelled.
"I saw you yesterday with that girl on your lap" I cried out. We both noticed I was making a scene so I grabbed his arm and dragged him to the corner. "I-I can explain" Cedric went on. "There is nothing to explain. We are done Cedric." I walked away from him, I was surprisingly shocked on how I did it so easily. I wasn't in love, we both knew it wasn't going to last long either.

I went on over to potions. Me and Tom didn't say a word to each other like always in class. "Y/n, dumbledore wants you to head to his office." Snape barked.

I sighed and got up. Tom instantly grabbed my wrists tightly, forcing eye contact with me. "what did you do?" He hissed.

His grip loosened and I snatched my hand away, I sped away ignoring him. I can tell that irritated him.
