Lake POV
I came into school early just wanting to be on my own for as long as I could.I know Kalen would get annoyed at me but there's something comforting about my loneliness maybe it's not comforting at all... maybe it's just addicting. I looked around the halls making sure no one was there.
"I'm glad you didn't leave, but it's a shame you don't dance anymore" Mr song one of our school governors.The one who.. the one who stole my joy.
I nodded politely and tried to go out on my way again when a hand stopped me. Mr song stooped down his breath slapping against my ear
"It really is funny the crazy things love can make people do" slight amusement coating his cold tone.
I stared at him...just stared.
No hate just pain .
I was all cried out I couldn't be bothered to be strong it's not like it would turn back time.
He stepped out of my way, finally allowing me to pass. I reached the end of the hallway when I saw Amber and Toby outside of the practice room.
"Yeah your gonna have to join the line Lake, this girls beat us to it" said Amber she leaned against her boyfriend Toby
"Isn't the practice room big enough for all of you" I said looking at them confused
"Well yh but she's just so good it's like it would be wrong of us to get in her way uno" Toby said excitedly earning a little glare from Amber.
I decided to look through the window of the practice room and see the girls brilliance for myself.
No way... Rachelle?
I watched as she stepped softly across the room bending and twirling as she did so. Her movements were majestic even magical I could say.She leaped then fell into her ending position on the floor.Her chest moving up and down fighting against her breathlessness.
"She's good ain't it" mouthed Toby.No words Were able to escape my mouth so I just raised my eyebrows agreeing.I was in shock, at how beautiful that performance was and at how it made me feel . I stood there with Amber and Toby for a bit when I heard the door open and Rachelle walked out,Slightly surprised to see me there "oh hi are you waiting for the practice room ?I'm so sorry I just got carried away" Rachelle said apologetically
Amber and Toby said it was alright and made their way into the practice room leaving me and Rachelle alone.
"Your really good it was nice to watch" I had just realised what I'd said... I mentally face palmed. She chuckled sweetly.
"If I knew you was out there I would've invited you in" she replied confidently
"Why we hardly know each other" I asked baffled.
"Well seeing as Beatrice and Kalen are friends it would be silly for us,not to be friends wouldn't it?" she stated practically
Oh not the reason I was hoping for.
Wait what was, the reason I was hoping for?
I shook my head earning a worried look from Rachelle. What a way to embarrass myself
"Well yh I totally agree Urm...I have to go now"I said backing away bumping into a nearby bin. She laughed
"You did this the other day at lunch one day you should let me be the one to leave first" she said. I paused.
"You know what don't worry about it, see you later and maybe we'll finish listening to that song" she said turning away while humming the song loud enough so that I could hear.
So she remembered that moment...
Rachelles POV
I turned away before he could and started walking I looked back to see if I would catch him looking. Oh... Guess not
Lake POV
When she turned to walk away I immediately turned to walk too. As I walked away there was a sudden urge to look back,hoping I'd see her as she walked away. Guess not.
