all the things they never told me
all the secrets they didn't share
i'm kind of glad they didn't tell me
it seems too much to barethey never yelled or hit each other
but what happened was much worse
he treated her like complete shit
and saw her as a cursehe swore at her, and called her names
and she didn't understand
why suddenly he resented her
she was company he couldn't standso she asked him why he was doing it
and he rolled his eyes, of course
"i'm sorry, but i can't do this anymore,
"i'm getting a divorce."he didn't argue, or fight against it
it's what he wanted after all
he moved out as quickly
as was humanly possibleshe got really depressed
and the kids of 6 and 4,
like a sudden, hard punch in the face
had no dad anymore
