wilting amongst the growing,
sad amongst the happy,
still amongst the flowing.
single amongst the couples,
deaf amongst the hearing,
strange amongst the normal,
blank amongst the fearing.
iron amongst gold,
ugliness amongst beauty,
scarecrow amongst flowers,
slavery amongst duty.
spider beside a butterfly,
coffin beside a bed,
suffocation beside a breath,
living amongst the dead.
