The building that Strange led Loki to truly looked like it was out of place, if not out of time. It was an old and creaky looking building that looked horridly out of place between two towering buildings. Mind, it wouldn't have looked out of place had it been the central building of some sort of horror movie or something. And yet those who walked past the odd structure didn't seem to notice the absurdity of such a building in the middle of New York. Why wouldn't they...? Ah, no. They had a cloaking spell on it. Of course.
The spell in question wouldn't make the building invisible. Rather that it would cause those walking by to not take notice of it. Their minds would ignore it unless they were deliberately looking for the structure in question. A rather clever spell to keep out more mundane minded... individuals.
Strange walked up to the door, idly digging through a coat pocket as he moved. He pulled free a rather old yet bland-looking key and put it into the lock before turning it. The door was pushed open, and then Strange stepped to the side, his hand held out in an 'after you' gesture.
"After you," he said with an inviting smile.
Loki raised a brow before nodding and stepping inside. A sweeping entrance hall lay before him, looking both regal and mysterious. Strange stepped in behind him, shutting the door with a gentle click before slipping off his coat. Loki blinked in bemusement. The other man was wearing a rather ordinary turtleneck, grey in color, and a pair of high-quality black pants. Strange moved over to hang his coat on a coat rack that Loki had somehow missed. Loki was about to ask something when the room itself shifted, altering itself around them in a wavering fashion before reality re-settled around them. Loki blinked at their new surroundings, taking in the massive library with a raised brow.
Not bad, Loki thought to himself.
"Please, take a seat," Strange said, pulling Loki's attention back to him and away from the books.
Loki frowned as Strange gestured to a very comfy looking lounge chair that certainly hadn't been there a moment ago. Rather than say anything, though, Loki moved over to the chair and took a seat in the plush chair. He kept his expression blank and raised a brow at the other man.
"Tea?" Strange asked, flicking his hand.
A cup of tea appeared in the man's hands, and Loki blinked down at the warm cup that had popped into existence in his own hands. He let out a heavy sigh. It was rather obvious what the other man was trying to do. Strange was attempting to intimidate Loki by showing off his powers and mastery of his own bloody Sanctuary.
News flash, buddy, Loki thought darkly. If you're showing off in your own home, where your power is at its' strongest, it's not that bloody impressive! Hel, it would be outright Pathetic if you Couldn't control the rudy building!
"Would you kindly get to the point?" Loki said with a groan, setting his cup down on the table that appeared in front of them just as he went to do so.
"Apologies, I was merely attempting to be hospitable," Strange said with a tilt of his head. "It's not every day you get a visit from a so-called god, now is it? Although, if you'll pardon me for saying so, you don't seem to be god-like these days, do you?"
"Oh, aren't you the sharp one?" Loki asked sarcastically, a snort escaping him. He leaned back and crossed his arms. "Look, if we had the time for it, I would gladly humor you further. But we don't. I would appreciate it if we could just get to the point."
Strange looked him over for a long moment and then nodded his head. The room once more wavered around them shimmeringly. Once things had stabilized, Loki found that they were in a much larger room. And they weren't alone either. To his left sat a very unamused Nebula. Standing beside her chair was a middle-aged man looking to be of Asian descent. The man was wearing robes that looked comfortable and light-weight. Ideal for those who practiced sorcery.
