"Wait so you are leaving?" Martha whispered as she watched Ruelle speedily pack things into a satchel before the red head swung a red hooded cloak around her, fastening it around the bottom of of her neck with a golden broach Uther had gifted her for helping Arthur protect some of Camelot's relics, but to Ruelle that was nothing.
"Yes, I'm going with Arthur, Merlin and the knights to go and see if there are any knights of Medhir." Ruelle explained with a sigh.
"But that's dangerous-" Ruelle gave her a pointed look. "What.. What would your brother think if you put yourself in danger."
"Do not speak of my brother." Ruelle snarled, gripping onto the corners of the oak table in her room until her knuckles went white.
"I'm sorry, I thought-"
"Exactly you thought and you thought wrong." Ruelle paused, rubbing her watery eyes before sitting on the edge of her bed. "I'm sorry." She sighed. "Robin use to write to me all the time and i haven't heard from him in a month, but if he was hurt or worse, the Merry men would of informed me, I should be at home in Locksley not stuck here in Camelot I feel useless!"
"And that's why you are sneaking out, to keep your mind busy." Martha whispered, her mouth opening slightly before she immediately shut it. "I'm sure he is okay, maybe the messenger isn't though, maybe Robin thinks that you are the one not responding."
Ruelle gasped and let her head fall into her hands. "You are right." She chuckled bitterly, wiping away a few stray tears. "I let myself over think the situation, thank you Martha."
Martha just smiled. "Even though you are wearing a cloak I don't think you could sneak out while wearing a dress." The blonde stated with a grin. Ruelle stood up from the bed and gave the girl a mischievous smirk.
"You are right yet again, but let's hurry they will be leaving soon." Ruelle said as Martha squealed in excitement, pushing the red head behind the floral dark screen.
-In the Woods-
"What is it Merlin? Don't tell me you've been listening to Gaius's bedtime stories again?" Ruelle heard Arthur ask from the back of the group, though she wasn't wearing the same armour as the men, she still wore armour on her legs and arms, making sure to shield the rest of herself behind her red cloak. None of the men seemed to of been suspicious about her though, causing her to roll her eyes. 'Men.' She thought with a scoff.
"I just hope that's all they are." Merlin replied, looking at Arthur as though he was a idiot, then glancing around him before focusing back in front of him.
After riding for a couple more hours the group hopped off their horses and gingerly walked into the castle, swords raised and ready to attack at anything bad that came their way.
"What's that noise?" Merlin asked, a slight quiver to his voice.
"What noise?"
"That sort of trembling sound." Merlin replied. This was when Ruelle thought it was the best time to make herself known.
